Should the UK remain a part of the EU or leave?

  • Stay in

Hand on heart if that had been the result, the UK would be in a much better state than it is today.

That’s not what I asked.

I agree with you about this precise point in time. I believe - but only time will tell - that the U.K. will be in a better place once Brexit is delivered and it gets into it’s stride.

You no doubt believe otherwise.

Commons leader Andrea Leadsom quits government over Brexit

Commons leader Andrea Leadsom has quit the cabinet, saying she no longer believes the government's approach will deliver Brexit.
Her resignation comes amid a backlash against Theresa May's Brexit plan from Conservative MPs.
Several cabinet ministers have told the BBC that the PM cannot stay, with one saying it is "the end of the line".
Mrs Leadsom previously ran for Tory leader but withdrew, clearing the path for Mrs May to become prime minister.
As Commons Leader, she was in charge of organising government business.
Her resignation is the 36th by a minister under Theresa May - 21 of them over Brexit.
The move came after a day of drama at Westminster in which anger grew at the prime minister's attempt to win backing for her Withdrawal Agreement Bill - the legislation needed to implement the agreement between the UK and EU on the terms of Brexit.
As part of it, she has offered a number of concessions, including a chance for Mps to hold a vote on another referendum if they back the bill.
In a letter to the prime minister, Mrs Leadsom - MP for South Northamptonshire - said she did not believe "the UK would be a truly sovereign United Kingdom through the deal that is now proposed".
She also described holding another referendum as "dangerously divisive", and said she was opposed to the government "willingly facilitating such a concession".
A second referendum would "risk undermining our Union which is something I passionately want to see strengthened", she argued.
She also attacked the "breakdown of government processes" saying that Brexit-related legislation proposals had not been "properly scrutinised".

After a very busy period at work I've come back to find two politics threads on here? Wasn't one thread of this nonsense enough?!

Don't plan to get back into discussion on here as it's entirely pointless but looks like it's all kicking off tonight!!
this is the one where the right wing scum hang out
the other ones for the loony lefties

I like it - overt echo chambers. Not sure which is more painful reading, these threads or Clive's end of season reports :emoticon-0145-shake

A quick executive summary for you:

Brexit: voted for in referendum, democracy, right thing to do, get on with it.

Remain: yoghurt knitting, undemocratic, we want ‘best of three’, anybody who disagrees is a racist, we want to control hat sizes.

second vote in the present day seems the only democratic thing to complete given the divide

Racism will never die in the U.K. it just goes up and down ... overground and underground

Adjustment-able hats are the future or actual reality helmets as I call them

Try our delicious new dairy-free m*lks at polling stations in Kent today. They have half the sugar, and 30% fewer calories than a regular shake, so they’re ‘milkshakes without the nastiness’. Even if Nigel Farage is drinking one.

Yep. Apparently it's all a plan in favour of brexit.
Quite how that works when the establishment are anti brexit and that same establishment organises elections.

I honestly don't think a 2nd vote will cure the division.
Also, of course there is some racism this Country.
I also believe that this Country is one of the most accommodating to foreign people.
