Should the UK remain a part of the EU or leave?

  • Stay in

    Votes: 56 47.9%
  • Get out

    Votes: 61 52.1%

  • Total voters
    117
  • Poll closed .
Today is Brexit 'crossover' day - the day when, theoretically, the combination of Remain voters turning 18 and Leave voters dying would wipe out the referendum majority, even if no one changed their mind.:emoticon-0100-smile

Three polls at the weekend:

ORB 53:47 Remain
Comres 54:46 Remain
YouGov 56:44 Remain

So virtually identical to the polls before the 2016 referendum then

Polls, experts, newspapers etc etc. People believe what they choose to believe. Always been the case, always will be. Let's see what this great plan 'b' is and what it entails. 2 years to come up with a plan 'a' which got blasted, now a few days for a plan 'b'. You really couldn't make it up!

Agree, although history shows that most EU deals are finalised at the 11th hour of the final day

All conducted in London. Waste of time. I would rather listen to the average bloke down the pub who will say different to this.
However it doesn't matter now as we have had the vote and leaving on March 29th.
How many days?

Is that right, Ellers? They were London polls. If so, then the Remain vote in London has gone down

Any link etc to back up your claim these were "all conducted in London"? I'd be very surprised if that's true.
No, I was being sarcastic. I listened t the bloke from YouGuv on Sky and he has remain undertones.
As I said before, these polls are irrelevent now. We should do one in forty years times.

BBC reporting the Polish Foreign Minister has been discussing time limiting the backstop with Simon Coveney, the Irish Foreign Minister to break the deadlock. Not been dismissed out of hand.

The EU won't pull the rug on Ireland, but Ireland is going to face pressure from certain member countries as 29 March approaches.

They are Europeans Goldie, they will break ranks and surrender at some point. So far May has played a blinder by running the clock down and not committing She will do the same today and when the clock gets near deadline day the EU will cave in.
The very last thing the EU will want is a no deal. If you read some of the articles on that they all point to it being a disaster for the EU. Some say it would bring it down as they need our money.
Let's just hope May keeps her cool and blocks those treacherous remoaner MP's.
She needs to put out a message that 300 are trying to stop what 17.4M voted for.

Yes, I've never subscribed to the view that EU countries who will be financially spanked by a no deal with hundreds of thousands off job losses, will not look carefully at whether there could be an alternative or a moderation to the backstop as negotiated by Barnier. It's massively in their interests.

I think May's doing ok at the moment. There will be a reckoning with the Tory Remoaners who try to stop Brexit. I've heard that Beaconsfield won't renew Grieve as their MP, and he has stopped replying to constituents who ask about his position. A little ****ing Hitler!

Isn't May one of those treacherous remainers also?
God I lose myself within the separations of the government at the moment. Some Tories are all for a no deal, some are, as Ellers says, treacherous remoaners and some want Mays deal. Can't keep up with it all !!!

tell me about it, thought there might have been some decent updates but just the same old same old.
Have a scan through the thread dear Ellers cat. You will see nothing is new, still the same old ****e everyone is spouting. The brextremists say the same and the same, the remoaners say the same and the same. It's good being in the EU and long may it continue

Oh yeah, Grieve is *just like* Hitler. Can't believe more people don't see it.

I didn't compare Grieve to Hitler. Have you never heard the saying "a little Hitler"? Here's the definition from the Urban Dictionary:

"A little hitler is a self-important tosspot who thinks he's in charge."

Which describes Grieve perfectly. He feels he is not answerable to any of his constituents. He was kicked out of the Cabinet in 2014 and is now part of a group of bitter ex-minister back benchers that want to dump the Tory manifesto, bi-pass elected government and take power over Brexit in an attempt to quash it.

Not really and not that reverent because of the campaign factors remember this was a shock to most and the protest element within the final vote was the true factor ... 2 years on and with more of a subject understanding today’s polls and the final ones will be far more accurate imo
