Britain in 2018.

In lovely middle class Leamington Spa last night my son and a (black) mate were on the way to another mates to watch the Fury fight when they were attacked by six white men. One of them bit half of my son’s ear off, saying ‘that’s for having ******s for friends’. Also, of course, they were robbed. Anaesthetised by booze and Adrenalin the lads went on to see the fight only to realise how damaged they were when they sobered up.

Both lads spent most of the day in Warwick A&E, with broken ribs and his mate has a broken nose. After which the lad turned up at our place, because his phone was smashed in the fracas. Now we have to take the boy to Coventry A&E as the plastic surgeons want to see him urgently. The fact that I will miss the Alabama 3 gig tonight is of no importance, compared to the impotent fury I feel. My son is no stranger to trouble and injury, but was entirely innocent for this one. He is in shock because he is not used to being beaten up but relieved that no knives were involved. FFS.

I feel sick, but at least I know what a hate crime really is now.

Very, very late to this.
So sorry and angry to read the above.
I know you won't let this define your son
My best wishes to you and the family G.
A.

Freedom of movement is one of the key cornerstones of the EU. So with respect, Oslo, the EEA countries cannot do what they like on immigration, or they'd be hauled up before the ECJ.
Naa! Who? Hungary? Nothing done to them yet. In practice each nation is doing pretty much what they want.

Virtually **** all would happen. A bit of marching from the Carling brigade and probably a bit more open xenophobia but that’s sadly nothing new.
I disagree with you Watford. I saw the poll tax riots over a bit of money. There would be much deeper outcomes. People who think different know nothing about how some would react.
You saw what happened with the MP Cox and that nutter. Plus you need to think how many people will vote for any party as long as it isn't the ones at the moment. That alone will change the face of politics in this country.

Totally agree. You may get the odd angry radio phone in or a grumble to the wife in the sitting room but **** all will happen. Some will be for Mays deal while the brextremists will cry into their soup and false teeth.

Like I say, confused
That's funny bob if you want me to repost what you said about the referendum I can? The only one who is confused is you and this facade of yours. You bang on about 'not understanding' and that you 'don't trust politicians' and you keep coming out with Anti-Tory and Brexit rhetoric? mmm.

This bloke to me hits the nail on the head 100%
It’s nearly 2019

We produce the best music in the world by the way imo one thing we can all be proud of

You must log in or register to see media

lol, I love it when sports stars, musicians, and "personalities", think because of the talent in their chosen fields, somehow gives them a platform for espousing their political views.

Champagne socialists are the worst, just stick to what you are good at, and btw, a very talented musician, but no Economics degree, in fact he has no secondary education beyond acting/music.

I voted leave, and will be alive and kicking for decades to come !!!

lol, agree, I was chatting with my eldest son over the weekend, then he told me last night, some guys at his work started moaning about Brexit, and he quoted one of my economic facts about the benefits of Brexit, and they all shut up, then admitted, they didn't understand.

Re post whatever you like. I was confused at the time. Did you know at the time that this deal would be the only deal? Or did you think something else? I now see how everyone has been lied to and some...yes some have voted based on these lies, some on immigration, economics, laws, money etc etc. The Tory party implemented the referendum, the Tory party have attempted to negotiate it, the Tory party have ripped themselves apart over it. The Tory party have royally messed it up and now been found In contempt of Parliment. The enemy within the Tory party do not help either way. So now as you see, I'm beginning to understand.
