Yes, I didn't mean literally evenly split between 27!

What the **** are you on about?
Do you actually know who pays what in the EU? Do you realise how much money we put into that club compared to others (and I am not talking about Germany and France). Look at a list and see. Without our £40M they will be in big trouble.

But they hold all the cards, Goldie. May made a big mistake by trying to act tough in Salzburg. No one thought that the Chequers offer was workable, but the EU made polite noises about it being 'progress'. To put it forward as 'take it or leave it' was laughable. And they laughed.

They don't hold all the cards, Strolls. They want our money, trade, London financial markets, security cooperation, military support (particularly thr eastern states) etc

Contructive rejection of Chequers and realistic counter proposals would have been acceptable. Scathing tweets designed to humiliate the UK's premiere simply put backs up.

Exactly.
They have watched the UK and seen the enemy within who have tried to derail the will of the people. They then think they can insult us. They even tried to interfere by calling for a second vote and knocking our politicians. Furthermore they then insulted our Prime Minister and didn't treat her with the respect she deserves. The messed up on all levels. Please don't believe these ridiculous rumours of her going in with an attitude because that is all BS. I heard the times reporter tonight say the complete opposite and he was part of her entourage. Even tonight Tusk is being very careful with what he says. All this 'cliff edge' stuff is also BS. As John Redwood said today you can buy Lufthansa tickets past the date we leave...So what happened to all the flights stopping? Just project fear.

No one likes chequers
Why should the eu like it

No one in the UK likes may as pm
Why does anyone think the eu should treat her any differently than her own people

Has this now been set up so everyone feels sorry for her and everyone gets behind whatever the next deal she presents on her knees to the eu

They went in 2 footed, studs up, gave away a penalty, in a dour game. Both sets of fans are unhappy, some a angry, others sitting back, laughing at the **** on offer that they've paid for. No one has a clue what the score is, what the result will be or if we'll even make it to full time.
There could be extra time yet

Go back and chat with your mate Owen Jones. You talk utter rubbish Stroller. You are sounding (with every post) like some old bitter romoaner that couldn't get his way so he moans about everything.
You lost get over it. Stop moaning about your government and country and support it. Or are you still 'enjoying" this?
I don't think that's entirely fair Ellers. How can anyone support this government? Do you mean support May on her chequers deal ? Or the breakaway ERG on their non publicised proposals? The government is a shambles, the opposition are a shambles. Most on here thought the chequers deal was poor, many politicians thought it was poor and now the EU think it's poor. I couldn't care less if they were rude to her or what they have said about her. I don't like her myself. In my opinion, if I was looking in on this country from afar, seeing the complete bollocks the government are making over this, I would try take as much as possible. We only have ourselves to blame. A narrow win ( but yes a win granted), a country divided, a government divided, an opposition to government looking no better, in house bickering and nobody actually proposing a deal that looks suitable. It doesn't paint the best picture for a negotiating position. I will sign out of this now, leave you all to it, apologise for any angst and wish you all the best for your desired outcome. Brexit is ****

Looks like all that money the Russians put into their destabilisation project was quite a good investment, doesn't it? They've persuaded us to argue and fight and belittle ourselves. Look for the real winners in all of this. It isn't me or you.

Thank you for reminding me that the reason I voted for Brexit was because the Russians told me to

What respect does she deserve? She took over a majority and gave it away, requiring her to bung some religious fruitcakes a billion quid of our money to stay in power. She’s tried to go behind the backs of the EU’s negotiators and liaise with leaders directly and unsurprisingly has been mugged off because shockingly the EU isn’t just crumbling to our demands to guarantee BMW and prosecco sales. She’s only there because no one else wants the job. No one dare be the PM to actually deliver Brexit when it’s far safer and easier to critique from the sidelines.

So basically bob you are confirming what we all know.
You don't like Brexit
You don't like the government
You don't like May or the Tories.
Are you a Remoaner in disguise?

It's nothing to do with May, who I agree has been awful. It's all about disrespecting the office of Prime Minister.
The EU have made a big mistake doing that imo.

They’ve shown her more respect than her colleagues. Would we be all nice and cuddly towards Barnier if he was in as weak a position?

Pretty much, yeah.

I also am convinced that:

The Salisbury two are innocent

Litvinenko was poisoned by his wife

Boris Beresovsky really did hang himself

Russian invaded Georgia in self defence after Georgia attempted to invade Russia

Then Ukraine tried to invade Russia and lost Crimea

The Pussy Riot activist is suffering from a nasty case of food poisoning

And Russian athletes have always been clean - it's the rest of the world that cheats

Not

If Theresa May put out an insulting tweet against the leader of another nation, she would be condemned because it is simply unstatesmanlike.

I thought Tusk was one of the better of the Brussels coercers but he's no different. If things don't change on Brexit, we will start seeing splits in the EU. Many member states don't like the hard line being taken by Germany, France and Brussels

Spot on Col. They have disrespected the office of our country. Their childish tweets/Instagram messages have backfired on them as the 'Britishness' in us takes over. Agree there will be a few lefties, anti-Tories, remoaners that will side with the EU, (the usual enemy within) but I am amazed by the response of many decent people regarding this.

Not forgetting knocking our politicians, and asking for another referendum at the meeting. The acted like the mafia in that no one leaves the club. How anyone can support them or the EU now is beyond me. They have shown exactly what they are like.
