Can this supposedly Conservative government stop trying to control what people eat? If I want a chocolate bar, a burger or a bottle of vodka I’ll buy one. If you heavily subsidise fruit and exercise equipment I’ll acknowledge you might give a ****.

The confectionary ban at supermarket tills isn't aimed at you since you're over 12. As to the vodka, take a look at what the socialist leaning government has done in Scotland

I disagree with that too. It will have an effect on consumption but the negatives outweigh the positives and it’s something I’ve worked on professionally.

But, you’d expect a ‘nanny state’ mentality from a left-leaning government. It’s gone too far in this country already IMO.

You know nothing about me. You have no idea.

I know very little about you, that's true. Just what I get from your posts on here, and a brief pub meeting. It seems to me, though, that your mind is closed. I found your response to Stan's Trump post intriguing, because you were so categorical. I thought you must know something that I don't. Turns out you don't.

How do you know I don't?
There is a possibility that other people know more than you on certain subjects.

I don't think so. I would say you believe what you want to believe. What do you make of this?...…………….

Mary Dejevsky is a long serving Putin apologist, albeit a very clever and eloquent one, nothing so blatant as obvious propaganda. She is very well connected in Moscow and is clearly doing her best to promote their strategy of casting as much doubt and confusion as possible about Russia’s involvement in anything dodgy ever. In my opinion, having just had a look at some of her previous work.

But there is something very odd going on. I got a cryptic one word text today, clearly a code word of some kind, and the sender denied all knowledge of it. Perhaps his account has been hacked by the Russians. Or the CIA. Or MI5. Or the Chelsea Headhunters.

On the basis of no knowledge whatsoever I suspect that Col has earned his authority on security matters, not that this means he is always right and unbiased.

I'v never claimed to always being right.
For the record, I stated ages ago that I suspect there is s lot to the poisoning case that we don't know and will never know.
Certain things don't quite add up, although I'm convinced the Russians were responsible.
