TV debates are s22t. ITV always cocks it up. The BBC will yoghurt knit along with the Liberals and Sky will get Faisal to throw in a few remoaner questions. Waste of time

I think the TV debates are important for those of us not as politically switched on as the members of this board. There were 15 million eligible people who didn't vote in the last election, it's chance to win those folk over, having said that if they didn't vote they probably wouldn't watch anyway. If Theresa does stay away from telly debates surely that can't do her any favours as it suggests either she is fearful her current good standing in public opinion will be damaged (when people realise she is a horror) or she has something to hide.

Do not trust May & didn't want her as PM, she is a slippery left wing remainer.
UKIP's job is not done just yet.
Slippery left wing remainer currently engaged in trying to give us 5 years of hardline Tory rule and the hardest Brexit imaginable. Not particularly left leaning if you ask me.

according to the bbc

Dealing day-to-day with a small majority has given Conservative backbenchers significant power to force the government to back down on a variety of issues

It does her a big favour as taking part in an unscripted debate shows her up for the socially awkward robot she is.

I'd definitely do the Nou Camp tour if you haven't already. Fantastic for food and drink too if you avoid the obviously touristy main square.
just remembered I have done the Nou Camp before, AC Milan v Steaua Bucharest 1989 European Cup final. Rather good. Locals not happy tonight, and my hotel is surrounded as Juventus team are staying here. Just completed the wine and tapas tour, anybody visiting Barcelona PM me this is not to be missed. Bars you would never find on the tourist trail. The gothic quarter of Barca is brilliant. Follow the locals and stay off the Rambla and you can't go far wrong.

Unlike Scotland Catalonia has never been an independent country and the Catalonians I talked to tonight were very honest - they would not vote for independence if offered, despite gripes against the Spanish state.

If only that were true I would be delighted. Unfortunately quite the opposite is the case, she wants a bigger majority to move the country even further to the left & deliver the softest possible Brexit.

Conservative's should & historically have, support the self employed, entrepreneurs, and small business owners not raise the tax burden on them with higher NIC (forced to reverse this by proper Tories) & further restriction of dividend payments. That is the politics of the left.

Those on the right who think she will deliver for them are going to be disappointed as what a large majority for the Tories will provide as PM is Ed Miliband in a skirt.

They all wanted this Goldie. 'Blah blah blah no Mandate, blah blah blah remoan' now they have it they are guess what... moaning.
Politics at its most predictable and utterly boring. Master stroke by May but it will be fascinating to see how many U-turns there will be as everyone morphs to the position they think the electorate will support. The only fixed points of principle so far as I can see are that Lib Dems will stand for EU /reversal of Brexit, SNP will stand for Scottish independence, Labour will stand for a red-blooded socialist agenda which is completely unelectable, UKIP will try to con everyone that only Nuttall can deliver Brexit and May will run on the platform that only she can be trusted to deliver strong government and will try to wear the clothes of every cause going if it will get her votes. I sympathise with those that have lost the will to live as the only true fact is that they will all lie.

I sell drugs (medicines) work on the market access negotiations side. Agree totally on Berlin, Munich a little twee and antiseptic. But it would have been fine, just the job ultimately wasn't quite right. In Barcelona now for work and have tacked on a couple of days to look around. Highly recommended. Only ever been to the airport in Dubai, have zero interest in it.
I sell drugs (meds) too SB. Small world
