I agree that our Government are crap. I just think that those of us who voted to leave will put up with it as long as we ****ing leave!! I do think they're trying to deliver a negotiated settlement, but the EU are blocking it at every turn. As you say, we see this differently.

I also agree about the changing face of the World and the work place. Hopefully there'll still be football and my lad can utilise his degree.

We may see the I’m alright Jack attitude implode this country. English people can never unite on this .... never

The EU IMO are 100% right to challenge as they know they still carry a vast amount of UK support from people who support the system. Complete balls up and about time the brexiteers ate their stupid pride instead of blaming anything. 52/48 says nothing to me about a United anything .

I want the brexit voters to pay the bills for this

If I face hardship from all of this then I will firmly blame the people who voted leave

****ing useless mess

Blame whoever you like mate.

The French are the most "I'm alright Jack" people on earth imo.

You are again wrong there Col
Absolutely 100% incorrect
Completely wrong and no idea of the real comparison between the two cultures

The clear difference in my opinion is that the French people all make it very clear that the politicians know they work for them

From a hamlet to a city if the people are not happy then they unite and rise up as to be fair do most other European countries ....we watch TV

The UK doesn’t because the culture has worn them down so you are left with a nation especially in the south that only cares for themselves add to that a 52/48 divide and all that is left is two old farts chewing the fat on a football forum .... wait until we are all starved of power for our devices ... only then it the penny will drop to many ... where do we get most of our power from? We buy it in

I agree Europe needs our marketplace ... who wouldn’t ... a nation committed to i’m Alright jack and addicted to buying things.

I actually had an argument with a work colleague who claimed Adidas was English . I said German formed French owned same as Puma
The shock on this 26 year old mans face yesterday I won’t forget for a while when I was proved right as he flashed off a new purchase but I told him
£50 tracksuit bottoms are €90 in France
And we think we are getting a great deal ... we are at the moment but I hope some can imagine what may happen when this artificial controlled bubble we live in the UK bursts

And it will

I think you'll find that Adidas is actually a public company - largest group of shareholders is in the US

Puma is French owned - part of the Kering Group since 2007

Respectfully this is wrong
The remains and brexit people are both clueless. I can assure you that most financial and insurance companies that my organisation deals with based in London are all ready to move. We are backed by DHL and simply put we do almost everything for every major player in the world.
You almost had me there. <laugh>

I stand corrected sir apologies honestly still thought the French still owned them but looking into it I am miles off ... I think my work mate was too surprised that they weren’t British ... still point is there are millions out there who actually believe the UK produces stuff we import

Believe what you like but the heat is rising old kiddy

Challenge it ?
Think it’s not true?

Companies I deal with are primed and ready

If you are maybe on the outside I don’t expect you to understand but anyone on here with any business mind know that marketing comes first that means we see things first ... also we are always the first sector to be hit ... 120 London based designers already gone from the company I work for ... the clues are there

The Brexiteers on here seem to be getting ever more shrill in their desperate defence of the nightmare that they have inflicted upon the rest of us.

I can't remember now who it was that said it (some EU gravy train rider), but the phrase was telling and very true - 'The EU 27 is more united than the British 1'.

What a farce.

Think that's reflected across Brexiters in general. Probably because many of their number have accepted it's a mistake. We're ****ed anyway, despite the referendum only being advisory, May was almost rabid in her eagerness to trigger article 50 despite having done absolutely zilch in preparation. Of course it can all still be stopped but we are going to blunder on regardless. Even if it was stopped the moral and social damage to the country is done now and likely irreparable in my book.

I can’t find any news coverage of Catalonia being on the march anywhere, so it's not something that the BBC are ignoring and everyone else is covering - despite your anti-BBC confirmation bias. What's the source, Ellers?
Could it be fake news?

As soon as you mentioned DHL your post lost all credibility

Nightmare, Strolls? More like a wet dream as we spunk huge globules of cash. :)

You seem a bit muddled, Ellers. You posted this at 5:04pm on Saturday afternoon.

Catalonia is on the march tonight. I see that kicking off if they arrest Carles Puigdemont.
Funnily it's not in the top 5 headlines of the BBC news. I wonder if it it had been an anti-Brexit march it may have been the lead story? :emoticon-0127-lipss

Clearly suggesting the BBC are biased in their reporting and using this absence of a report in some bizarre way to try and prove it. I am actually genuinely interested in what's happening in Catalunya, and went to look for reports, but couldn't find anything, so I posted this at 5:20pm - 15 minutes later - making the point that every news outlet was being just as "biased" because no-one was covering it at that time.

I can’t find any news coverage of Catalonia being on the march anywhere, so it's not something that the BBC are ignoring and everyone else is covering - despite your anti-BBC confirmation bias. What's the source, Ellers?

You then posted a reply at 12:43am this morning with three links.

Could it be fake news?

The first was posted at 6:57pm. I couldn't find when the second was posted - on (according to you) the biased BBC - but it wasn't there at 5:20pm yesterday. The third was posted at 10:30pm.

So, when I asked for sources at 5:20pm, it was because I was interested enough want to know more and I couldn't find anything myself. I suspect it hadn't happened yet. Which makes your accusation of BBC bias somewhat odd as events aren't always newsworthy until/unless it happens. No-one had a report online about this at the time I went looking.

Then you reply 7 hours later with links and something about "fake news". The earliest link was the Independent one posted 2 hours after I asked you for a source so I could go read about it.

So, just exactly how does the media not reporting on an event in Catalunya until after the event had taken place demonstrate BBC bias? The two things are not joined up - except to you, it seems.

It’s just about time that the Brexit posters on here eased a bit hence my rant

Tell them to F Off is typical of this country’s state of mind. We do have a divided nation now and generally a work shy workforce

Global business is a lot sharper than any government and far more powerful ... money

We don’t make the uk attractive then it our fault what we turn into. Brexiteers will need to made accountable and convince me to join that plan . The difference will be I not too proud to say I was wrong but it’s not going well so far.

Anyone on here who still thinks Britain is first hasn’t lived a life. You can no longer defend this mess

I am British and can only hope after this mess we do rebuild into a great country

I hope the outcome changes us all

The remainers are just as guilty as the brexiteers imo as bottom line none of can control anything and we are all so engulfed in our own lifestyles.

We all have to face up that our Germany and France after all those two have through are greater powers today ... so now it’s our turn

Imo this will require a massive shift in culture and at 52/48 we are starting at a very weak position. We consume too much and I am still very bad at this and that’s after I started again from scratch. I have made massive errors of judgment as well as some good ones .... but in there lies the fault... I was only looking after me.
