Just seen the past 3 videos posted by jonathan pie. Anyone watch him. Pretty funny in my opinion and bang on the money. They are pretty short so watchable. 3 minutes long Ones i saw were personality politics, terrorism, youth apathy
Yeah, as I mentioned before it's one unaffordable promise per day from Labour, they've clearly found the 'magic money tree' probably on Jezza's allotment...
You have to hand it to the Labour campaign team though. They have completely brainwashed vast numbers of people it seems. I only have to mention the word "Tory" in our house and the fragrant Mrs Rangercol turns into a snarling, hate filled killing machine!
The world of intelligence and counter terrorism is a complicated and murky place. The use of "useful fools" is a well known method that is employed to get into the heart of organisations, with the aim to get to the people at the top. I have no doubt that there has been a mistake leading the the Manchester attack, allowing this maniac to slip through the net. However, MI5 have so many balls in the air that it was only a matter of time before they misjudged a situation. They've prevented over a dozen attacks similar to the Manchester one in the last year alone, but the terrorists only need to succeed once! People like Pilger are hypocrites who jump up and down complaining when the state tries to do anything that they perceive as against peoples' "human rights", but then cry foul when a mistake is made by the security services. No doubt, had this guy been taken off the streets as Pilger says should have happened, Pilger would have been writing an article about the right wing police state we live in. They can't win .
Yes my daughter and granddaughter are the same, they think the sun, moon and stars shine out of Jezza's arse...
In this case I agree and I don't like Pilger as a personality, but he has done excellent and important journalism in the past. Sadly now he lets his investigations affirm his world view in every case, which is not journalism, he finds a sinister world encompassing US led conspiracy behind everything. As I have said several times on this thread Col, what we need to know about Manchester is whether the security services made a mistake or whether they were hamstrung by lack of resources. The former is more forgiveable than the latter in my view. Just heard Ruth Davidson on the radio. She'd be a good Tory leader.
Agree on Abbott wonder if she would have let know terrorists in and out of the country at will though.
She's becoming increasingly popular up here, as she is more than capable of standing up to the SNP and Sturgeon, but is hampered by some of the policies coming out of Westminster.....the momentum gained by the Tories in the last round of local elections up here was mainly down to her beratting the SNPs record on education and NHS spending (all devolved powers), and accusing them of taking their eye off the ball with regards to the daily running of Holyrood, and concentrating on IndyRef2 - I voted both Yes in Indy Ref1, and Remain in the EU Ref, and also for the SNP in the last election (as I wanted a stronger voice for where I live in Westminster) I am now in a quandry, as I believe we should get on with the hand we have been dealt, and stop bickering about Independance....however, I don't trust Labour or the Tories either, so no idea how I was going to vote....this has now been taken out of my hands as I am due to be working away from home next week unfortunately. As for Davidson, I wouldn't mess with her, apparently she's a black-belt kick-boxing champ as well as a hard-core dyke
Tim Farron would clearly have issues with her, he had another meltdown on LBC this morning. Simon Hughes must be praying he doesn't come canvassing in Bermondsey...
I think the security services made a mistake BECAUSE they are so stretched. There are many reasons for this but they have saved countless lives in recent years.
