Having a large majority in Parliament does not mean an end to Democracy. Their have many GE which have resulted in majority's of more than 100 and some more than 200. Labour won in 1997 with a 179 seat majority. Democracy is still here.
Blair took us into war x 2

UKIP may get a few votes particularly in the north with their calls for bans on Sharia Law and the burqa. The Sharia courts because we can't have two systems of law in this country, particularly when Sharia discriminates heavily against women (who may not realise it, since nearly 1 in 4 Muslims in this country don't speak English). The burqa because of oppression against women, or for those who choose to wear them, a decision not to integrate.

If an Islamic terrorist uses a burqa to beat security including CCTV, my guess is this medieval face mask will be banned virtually overnight.

Do you think the core UKIP vote cares about oppression of women, especially non White British Christian women?

If we ban Sharia (fine by me, though it will just drive this **** further underground) should we ban the C of E Ecclesiastical courts as well? Just like Sharia they cover all aspects of doctrine, as well as ritual and ceremonial.

I think this is aimed beyond the core UKIP vote.

Sharia courts deal day to day with family disputes. All courts should come under the Supreme Court and final appeals should be heard there.

The "driving it underground" argument doesn't work with me or you could apply it to late abortions or FGM.
