Germany - last week an anti Islam politician was stabbed by an Islamist, who then killed a policeman

Today, on the cusp of EU elections, a left wing activist who was tearing down AfD signs and was challenged by an AfD member, stabbed the AfD member who is now in hospital

It will probably act to increase AfD votes, but there's something unhealthy happening in Germany

I don’t mind a bit of argy bargy in these debates tbh. Thought Starmer didn’t look comfortable and didn’t get himself out of a corner with the £2k barrage from Sunak. They should be calling each other out, challenging one another … and answering the bloody questions (fat chance) - Starmer did come cross as avoiding the answers a lot (not that any politician would understand the concept of answering a question directly, but Starmer does it so glaringly obviously it shows his terrible media skills up).
Hopefully the first debate was just early sparring and we’ll have more constructive challenging when the manifestos are out.

Tories promise to punish murderers, especially domestic abuse murderers, more harshly in another move they forgot to do over the last 14 years. Just when you thought an Englishman’s home was his castle, the nanny state interferes in basic rights and freedoms over chattel.

Doubtless Labour will promise the same. Unless they are polling well with the domestic abuser segment.
