Southern Water is owned by Australian firm Macquarie which has faced fierce criticism for the period when it was Thames Water’s biggest shareholder.

In five of the 10 years it owned Thames, the company paid out more in dividends than it made in profits, while debt rose from £2.5bn to over £10bn in the same period.

Rumours that Sunak is about to call an election for 4th July. Please God.

Independence Day would be an appropriate date for freeing ourselves from this shower.

Inflation isn't down as much as expected, so no imminent interest rate cuts. No one thinks the Rwanda flights will make any difference and they probably won't happen anyway.

He's probably already got a new job lined up.

He’ll cling on until the bitter end I expect. There must be a few more scandals they can stall on and dump on Labour by January and his father-in-law must be able to find a way to squeeze another couple of billion out of us for some sub-standard tech. They’re all the same though.

A few million chucked to some more Tory donors will be standard

BBC thinks something political will happen this afternoon...as various ministers have been asked to attend a cabinet meeting at 4pm

Recognising the state of Palestine

Or
Election called?

Health and care worker visa applications down by 76% in another triumph for Sunak.

What do we want? Fewer nurses, doctors and care workers!

When do we want it? Now!

I think we can rule out option 2, Beth.
