So the vote is in and May can trigger article 50. But what is more important is... Why has Diane Abbott got a face like a slapped kipper?
It's happened, it's happening why keep going on about it like there something anyone can actually do! This is why people voted Brexit, sick of crap from people speaking crap and doing nothing about the crap. The yanks have voted in someone who may speak crap but at least he's Trying to do what he says
The Pound wasn't over-valued. To say that is devalueing your Country! I expect the £ will recover eventually but I doubt it will be back to the +1.45 levels it was pre-vote for a long time.
Well I can listen to you or the boffs on the business channel that said the dollar was high. Sorry but I know who I want to listen to.
Are your boffs saying the £ to $ rate will be 1.45 or above by the end of March or even end of this year 2017?
No, and you're right to point out the irony. The right to bear arms is so deeply ingrained in parts of American society, it will take many decades or more to shift. A good start would be a ban on automatic and semi automatic weapons, but it won't happen.
Ghastly woman. She looks increasingly to me as though she has a serious drink problem. Could be a hangover? Or the realisation that she has made a bad career move as Labour sinks without trace in a sea of mediocrity while they congratulate themselves on their principles and the degree of 'consultation' they are having with the grass roots, ie the huge numbers who paid tuppence 18 months ago to join in order to participate in a full blooded socialist revolution. Their brand of democracy is to drown out any dissenting voice from the moderates, intimidate those they cannot silence by other means and of course ignore the principles that Corbyn held so dear - the right to vote with his feet and defy his party while in government more times than any other labour MP because he had the right to make up his own mind and express his own will. It saddens me that it has come to this and that there will be no effective opposition for another 10 years at least .
If you really want to see how many people in Europe are thinking watch After Brexit: The battle for Europe on BBC2 or watch it on catch up/Iplayer. It's a real eye-opener for both sides of the argument and not to be missed. We can discuss once you have all seen it.
Just for fun...... http://www.lbc.co.uk/radio/presenters/james-obrien/james-obrien-devastating-take-on-donald-trump/
Am I going mad! Come on you money experts I need you! Question: with Greece in turmoil and may Grexit, will the pound be stronger against the euro? Now I thought it would be but one report says it won't be. So why?
As there's been no postings on this thread today, I'd like to take opportunity to say: Pollyticks is dead intrestinn.
A worldwide survey was conducted by the UN. The only question asked was: "Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?" The survey was a huge failure. In Africa they didn't know what "food" meant. In Eastern Europe they didn't know what "honest" meant. In Western Europe they didn't know what "shortage" meant. In China they didn't know what "opinion" meant. In the Middle East they didn't know what "solution" meant. In South America they didn't know what "please" meant. And in the USA they didn't know what "the rest of the world" meant.
And when they asked British politicians, they didn't know how the electorate would answer so didn't have a clue what they thought it meant and needed a steer.
