Tories were falling over themselves to proclaim how independent and unbiased Gray was when she was appointed to undertake the inquiry. When it was finally published, the Daily Mail said, 'Is that it?', suggesting that her findings were not particularly damaging. Why are you so sure that she was (probably) biased?

Because they nearly always are.

In public he was saying teachers were amazing….in private accusing of being work shy and lazy.
I’m sure he wouldn’t have been the only one

I'm sure that's true. Whatsapp messaging has in some ways taken the place of private conversations. If you could look at the private conversations of politicians of whatever persuasion over the years, I'm sure it would be shocking.

Was Mr Frost independant? I vaguely remember him being a bit of a hero to some...

I have to help some of the most vile, racist scumbags who most definitely hold the complete opposite political persuasion from me….however I always have to do my job impartially and put that aside and act professionally…..I would assume civil servants are the same
I have worked in some right Tory ****s houses, still do a top job for them despite them being ****s.

To be fair, the most obnoxious person I ever came across in my career, was a Tory MP. His constituency was somewhere like Harrogate. People refused to work for him so I got landed. Fortunately I was then sent overseas for 4 months, so handed his file to some other poor bloke

The great thing about the resurgence of Johnsonism and playing the victim card while infighting to the next election is that he is nailing down the landslide for Starmer. I'll bet right now that the Labour spin doctors are busy condensing the 100 greatest moments of Bojo and knickerdropper Truss' reign to play endlessly during the campaign. That is literally all they need to do. Policies? Who needs them? Left wing enough? Who cares? The Red Wall suicide of the Corbyn years will not be replicated as the electorate can remember the promises, the laughs and buffoonery, the lies and partygate and above all the decline in standard of living over the last few years as a result of voting for Bojo. But hey. Bring it on.
