God forbid! Are we talking about the same Charlotte Church that was speaking at some anti-capitalist demo and after jumped into her chauffeur driven car back to the airport and off on a jet? That Charlotte hypocrite Church.
or are we talking Lily (I cried at the Foolham final but now spend my time in Chelsea hospitality) Allen?

No point in debating because as soon as you show people facts they try and justify it.
Like the 16 countries that won't let Israelis in. That's okay but Trumps 3 month ban (which was Obama's idea) must bring out these mass demonstrations.
Where were these muppet demonstrators when the Chinese president came over?
I couldn't believe one poster yesterday when discussing Isreal. <doh>

Agree with the sentiment about talking of course. I don't think the EU are Trump's enemies (yet), although since Trump is ideologically opposed to political trading blocks and looks favourably on Putin, and the EU is, by its own admission, in an existential struggle, the omens aren't good. I genuinely believe Theresa May can use her good offices and interface between Trump and Brussels, and do the same for NATO too. That's why all these threats from the EU about punishing the UK for leaving will simply be self-harming. Remembering that May is supportive of the EU project, the UK and the EU need to build alliances, not engage in negative politics or a trade war.

As to the anti-Trump demonstrations, I'm sure they'll be held and no doubt the no-country, no-border anarchists will cause disruption at the end of each demo. Madonna will threaten to blow up Buckingham Palace if Trump sets foot there, and all this will achieve absolutely nothing, because the 40-something per cent that elected Trump in the US think he's doing a great job for them. He's their Vladimir Putin.

    And to top everything off......
Do you think the Americans care about a few thousand demonstrators? Trump is getting backing in the states and thumbs up from his voters.

Corbyn is a poor man's Micheal Foot, trying to think of any success he's had other than delivering Brexit ( him and McDonnell being left wing Brexiteers of course).

At all other levels May has bossed him in PMQs.

I get the impression Trump cares a lot about his image and that demonstrations bother him, which is great even if the immediate impact is negligible.

It's a shame John Smith died all those years ago because I actually liked him.

Agree he does care about his image but he is not worried about these demonstrations. He would be more worried if someone mocked his hair.

Before my time but he sounded good. Possibly would have avoided all those deaths under Blair too.

Plus I like the idea of our PM being named after an ale.

And why not indeed? After all, Thatcher was named after a cider

Blair was named after a witch - you can't win 'em all

So that odious, complete and utter **** of a lawyer, Phil Shiner is finally struck off.

After manufacturing claims of abuse by British soldiers in Iraq he has cost the tax payer millions of pounds and put completely innocent, brave servicemen through years of hell. It's not enough that these brave men and women put their lives on the line for their Country, but then they have to endure a ****ish prick like Shiner, concocting false claims along with Iraqi accomplices.

His false claims triggered two massive enquiries, one of which the Iraq Historical Allegations Team, has cost 57 million quid to date probing over 3,000 allegations, without one single conviction.
The other enquiry was the 5 year Al-Sweady public enquiry which cost 25 million quid. This was an enquiry into false claims against British troops after the Battle of Danny Boy in 2004. The guy who led the British soldiers in that battle was on the Jeremy Vine show today and emotionally explained what he and his fellow troops went through during and after that battle. He then told how his life has been hell for 12 years because of this **** Shiner. He and his men have been completely exonerated.

The human rights, right-on brigade have gone eerily quiet.
These liberal, own Country haters would last precisely 30 seconds if they were put on a front line with high calibre rounds whistling past their heads.

It's about time this Country started treating our veterans with the respect and care they so richly deserve.

Did I mention that Phil Shiner is a complete ****?

Shiner is a quisling, and just like Vidkun Quisling from whom the term is coined, Shiner should be executed for treason.
