My point being is there wasn’t the level of questions raised on a similar basis 4 years back.

I think we’re all hypocrites to a degree, and like I mentioned me not bothering watching won’t make a bit of difference, it won’t change a thing. The only way change would happen is if people and groups were to have stepped away, which would have needed to be several big teams/nations stepping away.

if I were an international player I doubt I’d have given up my dream to play at a World Cup and I expect would have struggled even if that had been part of a bigger group.

I know the trans/gay thing is a big deal to you Wills…so genuine question, did you not then take a stand personally against the Russian WC ? Or were you ok with it like you are with Qatar now ?
As I said before Wills…it seems an easy cop out to say that you as an individual won’t make a difference…and then do nothing and carry on tegardless
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not just you…I’ve done it many times, hate myself for it but willing to confront my own hypocrisy…but I will admit it, which sadly some aren’t willing to do.

You think FIFA or the Qataris are bothered remotely about "people and groups" boycotting this money laundering scam? Bollocks they are - it needs companies like Coke, Pepsi, Visa, McDonalds and all the other big corporate guns to pull out as they did with Russia. Money talks....Adidas just cancelled their contract with Jay:Z (or whatever he calls himself these days) over his anti-semetic rants on Twitter and other platforms, even though YeeZee trainers were reportedly 40% of their trade : now that's a boycott that gets people to take note

It’s like your saying black rappers all look the same….go to jail, do not pass go, do not collect £200

Ive not said I’m ok with Qatar. And I’ll agree there is hypocrisy and cop outs, but whilst not justification of hypocrisy I’d rather concentrate my efforts by doing something that makes a difference rather than not doing something I love, that will make sod all difference.

if the top 10 nations pulled out of the tournament is what I mean. I was trying to suggest something of that magnitude is needed to make a difference.

Were you ok with Russia 4 years ago ? Or willing to overlook it ?
