And there we have anti trans propaganda in action.. in the same way the suffragettes? Are you for real?

Today and anytime in the near future women’s rights and safety are still almost exclusively at risk by, drum roll… yep it’s still men, go to any shelter to abused women… guess whose abusing them, look at violence, sexual attacks and murders on women, look at any inequality in the work place be that representation or pay gap. Look at religious oppression of women.. look at any oppression on women it’s almost exclusively always ****ing men.

Ah Jk Rowling the great advocate for women’s rights? Her and her mates yeah you might wanna dig a little deeper to this lot and their views on things like pro choice. Most of this group is funded by anti pro choice organisations such as religious groups. Never mind eh, and I’ll look out for your comments, outside of when it relates to trans, supporting women, I won’t hold my breath.

We're talking about women's rights provided by law, so all the stuff about sex attacks, while very serious, isn't relevant to this issue, save if it involves a man who identifies as trans assaulting a woman.

There is a serious issue behind this, of course, that can best be summed up by the question, what is a woman?

Apparently, Duffield has set up a cross party biology unit (with Tory Ann Jenkin and SDP Joanna Cherry) to scrutinise public sector policies based on gender identity theories. They are concerned that such policies ignore fact and science in favour of ideological issues at the expense of women and girls. The battleground on this one is huge.
Well old heterosexual men like us (I’m making that assumption for you if that’s ok) are hardly my first port of call on understanding this stuff. My post was really just to highlight that, in the tweet you posted, the outrage is entirely manufactured, which hardly advances the serious debate.

I’m not qualified to debate the rights and wrongs of this, but I can spot out of context propaganda.

You have this Neolithic response mechanism if you sense someone has said something you disagree with, and "****" comes into your thought process instinctively. Have you thought about leaving your brain to science?
Maybe I just judge you on what you choose to share on this forum. I doubt I’m the only one who feels this way. Others may choose to express themselves more politely.

Of course it’s not, because that doesn’t fit in with your anti trans rhetoric, what I’m pointing out is how and who actually oppress women and you’re creating a different enemy who statistically, legally or in any study oppress women, so rather than deal with the problem facing women you’re pushing one that doesn’t really exist and you’re far from alone.

@qprbeth did you see the latest John Oliver show?

Couldn’t see one with the video but this has the sound, it’s pretty much spot on!!!

It is sad you have such a jaundice view Col

There are a lot of politicians of all hues, that actually are in it to make their community and their country a better place to live. They may have different thoughts on how to do it, but fundamentally they want everyone to live better (yes there are a some, and I don't need to name them, that think of it as a way to make a buck, as a way for an ego trip etc.

But a lot are there because they want to leave a legacy.

What, even evil Tories Beth?

Will, you cannot keep introducing whataboutery to the trans v women debate, Sure, there are some hateful men who carry out criminal attacks on women. As I say, it's a serious issue and has to be addressed continually.

The issue of trans rights encroaching into women's rights is entirely separate, and has to be judged on its own merits.

That was before she started.
Try to keep up.
I've been her biggest critic.
Although I realise that you're a sad, lonely tosser who goes to work, the gym and Rangers, spending the rest of your time on here being a keyboard warrior.

Tragic really.

Essentially you supported her when you had no idea who she was despite being told what a useless **** she was, then saw the wind was changing.

I also enjoy long walks on the beach and sporting biographies.
