Just looking at who holds which ministerial position in government now and it’s a veritable ‘who cares?’ of the Tory Party, isn’t it?

**** me a Tory with integrity… well on this showing at least.
Well, it was all about the damage to the Tory party and backbench MPs, actual constituents and voters got a look in in the last sentence. So I’d agree, he has real integrity, he spoke up about what is important to him.

Truss has to go now. If the Tories in Turmoil can agree on a replacement, get him or her in now without a leadership campaign. Otherwise, it's a GE, and Labour and possibly the Reform Party will benefit.

Only you could take that slant on that interview.
He was clearly angry, embarrassed and said clearly that the Tories couldn't go on like this.
Why shouldn't he be concerned about his job and the jobs of his fellow MPs?

It has to be a GE imo.
They have lost all credibility and don't deserve to stay in power in any form.
Naturally I share your trepidation about what's to come.

They'll be crossing the floor next.

The main problem with a GE now is that, based on current polls, Labour will win with such a landslide, there will be no effective opposition to hold it to account. Some have even suggested that the SNP will be His Majesty's official opposition!

It seems barely arguable that Labour won't get in to power at the next GE. The Tories have got two years to salvage something, but since most of the problems revolve around Truss, she has to go now.

I get all that, but I'm just past any thought of this lot continuing in any form.

I want them gone.

I only hope my fear of what is to come from the left isn't as bad as I imagine it could be.
A lot depends on whether the extreme left take hold or Starmer can keep them in check.

I'm afraid, Starmer is currently papering over cracks at least as large as those in the Tory Party. There are many who are still outraged that Corbyn was kicked out of the Party.
