37,000 Immigrants you are paying for in Hotels, at £5 Million per day, and we are left to rot on the streets, thank you!!!

Strange you never see the same people who bring things like this up never make the same point about the money spent on a Thatcher statue or the money wasted on track and trace when it could have been spent on homeless soldiers… or have a go at the government for the lack of support to veterans… they do however never miss a trick to use it against immigrants.

If I were a skeptical person I might think the focus of the meme is to hate foreigners rather than genuine concern for veterans.

Does he challenge other public expenditures?? Or just immigrants? If it’s just immigrants it’s still a very strange stance and certainly suggests there is more than concern for veterans in his motivation.
i think hes critisising the fact that illegal immigrants are given hotel rooms and veterans are given a sleeping bag
i could be wrong of course
he might love or hate the thatcher statue and all the other waste but hes talking about sleeping arrangements

The sad thing is memes like that are targeting to outrage, anger and stir hatred. My point is very valid, I never see the same point made against any other public expenditure, for instance when the Torys spaffed a whole chunk of change on that briefing room where were the people saying it could have been spent on homeless vets? Oh it didn’t happen and you really should be questioning why.

surely there must be memes on the briefing room and track and trace etc

There will be but I’ve never seen any that reference homeless veterans. The only time I see those are when it references immigrants/foreigners

We could send the veterans to Rwanda, theres an idea, infact send all the homeless, people under 4 ft, any ambidextrous folk, those with nervous twitches and the odd ugly person.
is this you tendering for the plastering contract for all that housing

Er...the Thatcher statue cost £300k. The (I assume, illegal) immigrants cost £5 million a day.

track and trace? How much was wasted there? Anyway not really the point, be interesting if you could answer why you only ever hear about the plight of homeless veterans being used against other expenditure when it relates to immigrants/foreigners/foreign aid. Why is it not held up as an example in other uses of public funds being spent?

Because they are both about the same subject - putting a roof over the head of someone who is homeless. So then the question of priorities arises.

That’s mind numbingly simplistic beyond belief and very patronising that it suggests people can’t realise finance is the key factor. spending money putting a roof over one persons head does not prevent you from putting one over another, it’s all about those who hold the purse strings and where they choose to use the public’s money.
