Stroller why do you need to try and score political points all the time? The U.K. was training the Ukraine army and supplying weapons long before the EU decided to join in. Welcome to the party EU!I heard a Ukrainian representative on the radio on Monday saying, 'If NATO won't enforce a no-fly zone, give us the planes and we'll do it ourselves. We have the pilots'. I now read that the EU is doing just that, supplying 70 fighter jets. For our part, Dominic Raab 'hasn't ruled out' doing similar.
How come the 'lumbering' EU has been able to move much faster than us on refugees, sanctions and now planes than the supposedly nimble UK?

Nope, you've completely overreacted and totally missed the point ! I'm not surprised though
You know I'm **** at posting links ffs, it was on BBC news the other night but I have no idea how to get it. 2 Nigerian girls who were students and 1 Asian boy , I didn't catch where he was from exactly. All 3 said they'd been treated poorly but didn't want to go back to their native homelands, they wanted to go to Poland and hopefully return to the Ukraine. Now there are so many people being interviewed , its impossible to catch them all, but I did see a Polish volunteer who is helping out on the Polish side of the border and he said that Ukranian's with the correct paperwork were coming through first then everyone else. In the background their where people of all races and colours helping themselves to all the clothes that the locals had donated and was about 6 foot high. There was certainly no favouritism or blatant racism being shown on that side of the border. It's obvious that there was on the Ukranian side of the border but I guarantee you that it's not worse treatment than what they'd get if they were I'm their native homelands. Of course its wrong wherever its taking place but its not right to hide the mistreatment of these individuals in their own countries !

I will also add that they were slow on SWIFT. Germany and Italy didn’t want to put certain sanctions on Russia. However I will say that they have stepped up and doing stuff now. Let’s wait and see how they treat Ukraine with joining the EU?
Yes, we'd been supplying weapons for some time as part of NATO, but our post-invasion reactions have been slower and less far-reaching than those of the EU.
It was a genuine question. We were told that Brexit would allow the UK to move much faster on international issues such as these.
don’t listen to me listen to them mate.

That's quite sad really. No one should be supporting this maniac. This thread has become an echo chamber for one or two people to show their outrage with everything and everyone apart from Putin.
Leave them to it.
Yes, but you obviously didn't read mine. I think we can be quite proud of what we have done/doing. The EU has only just got involved that's why people think they are doing more. We don't need to advertise everything we are doing. But as I said, I am pleased the EU are now taking a strong stance. You didn't read my response, did you?

Flag-shaggers?How do you two flag-shaggers interpret my point about the speedy and far-reaching post-invasion reactions by the EU as being support for Putin?
For the record, I'd be delighted if someone put a bullet in his head.

Wow !!!!
Mrs has the BBC on while I’m waiting for the man to come and fix the boiler and their report starts with a picture of 2 Ukrainian soldiers standing in defiance in front of a bombed out building, proudly holding a Ukrainian flag…with a ****ing Wolfsangel , who are obviously Azov Battalion !!!!
But that’s ok…..no neo Nazis there, eh ? They are the good guys
