The actual threat of invasion is minimal, very largely due to the fact that the Ukraine has the third largest army in Europe (after Russia and France) even without Western help. Russia cannot afford to get involved in such a thing the army at the border is just a bargaining tool.

Putin is driven by power (he hasn’t any worries about money), they are the worst type of leader as we know from all our world histories. It’s impossible to see him backing down once he starts - he will not want to lose face and be seen as weak.

Very ominous and a situation that no-one wants to see. I can’t see any other way than moving our own UN troops in as a peacekeeping force to protect Ukraine.

A possible war between peacekeeping troops. What an irony!
