Of course you could actually read the article

A Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) spokesperson said: 'Charleston has not received any money from the Levelling Up Fund.

'This project was allocated funding from the Getting Building Fund by the South East Local Enterprise Partnership, whose independent evaluators assessed it as offering value for money.

'Charleston is a charity-owned, internationally recognised site of cultural importance, with a museum and art gallery, and this work is estimated to provide a £1.6 million boost to the local economy by creating jobs and increasing visitor numbers.'

The Getting Building fund is part of the Levelling Up fund. The road is owned by a bloke worth £15m. It’s possibly not the best use of the funds.

What the **** does £300k get you anyway? Are they filling potholes with gold?

£4.3m of taxpayers money wasted on those insulation freaks. I don't want to hear people moan about food banks and supporting these losers.
I'm glad finally he government are coming down hard on these wasters.

£4.3m for the police to do their job as they’ll do for all sorts of protests. What does that have to with foodbanks?

I thought you were good at maths mate? It quite simple, the government get a certain amount of money and distribute it. If the police waste £4.3m on those insulation idiots or t##ts pulling down statues, not forgetting those Ex’stinktion’ soap dodgers... Then more money is need by the police and taken from somewhere else. That's how it works mate. Good luck if you think differently.

The figure includes the salaries of the police on duty. The actual incremental cost caused by the protest will be a relative pittance.

Why is a Tory sex case like Shapps focussed on this supposed waste of money when we could have 60 such protests for the cost of one royal yacht? Protesting is a fundamental right this government is looking to eradicate.

So Shapps is a ‘sex case’? Show me your proof.
Secondly, once again you are just dissagreeing for the sake of it. Policing those freaks was/is an unnecessary waste of money. You obviously don't know much about money distribution.
Come back with your Shapps proof first.

I’m not disagreeing for the sake of it. I’m pointing out it’s a non-story planted to rile up right wingers and as always you’ve fallen for it.

They spent an extra million on vehicals and over time. Calling police from other areas.
Because these wasters super glue themselves to the road during a pandemic stopping people going to hospital for cancer treatment, kids going to school and companies making essential deliveries... But if you think that is okay then good luck to you.
