The one thing I have learned from this pandemic is how f###ed some people are in our population. He will never do the right thing in some peoples eyes.
Boris is damned with whatever he does. If he locks down or not you will get the same people moaning.
As for your public health quote…. I will just say if we lock down to protect the public, don’t come back on hear in 6 months moaning about economic problems or other things caused by a lock down.

If the scientists say he should lock down, he should do it. He shouldn't concern himself with what 'Brexit hard man' Steve Baker and his cronies have to say. about it.

I think it goes a bit deeper than that Stroller. That is too simplistic.
Raab has just said the huge majority of hospitalisations are unvaccinated. 1% of hospital cases are Omicron… 104 people.
Do you think we should lock down?

And just to say I have now finished work for the year, my new contract has been postponed and I could restart in mid Jan. If there was a lock down I’m okay, however it is others that we must think about, people who need to work and there are many other health and social problems that come with it.
Not a decision I would want to make. That’s why whatever he decides, people need to support.
Just keep him away from parties.

I've no idea. I was against the original lock-down, but I was wrong.

They used to tell us that they 'follow the science' and that's what should happen now.

Whatever ones view of politics, I hope we can agree that it's been a bumpy few years. The public, on the whole, have dealt with that pretty well.

Until now.

Now I see people rising up. The public bringing down all government structures. A full on rebellion.

You can change our public health rules, but you can't charge us more for penguins.

Following the science is certainly a good starting point, but it has to be remembered that the scientists' work their recommendations on a worst case basis. Politicians have to take this into account, weighing up other factors like economy, education, mental health etc

Advisors advise, ministers decide.

The humble hobnob, Inspector Raymond Fowler's favourite afternoon treat

(for those that watched the brilliant Thin Blue Line)

Price going up to...? Whatever next...

The problem is that they then stick Quiz Whitty in front of the cameras and he gives his ultra pessimistic prediction which somewhat paints BlowJob into a corner. Like I said before, having run a few algorithms of my own, it’s all a bunch of dribbly bollocks.

I think you must have fed some of your artistic, under-the-counter films into the algorithms to get a result like that...

I agree but the science community keep having differing opinions. If the PM says we need to lock down because the medical experts say it then I will go with it.

I personally have no issue with lock down or not locking down and i actually agree with Ellers, hes damned if he does and damned if he doesnt, with no particular political allegiances to either decision. I know loads of Tory voters, labour and lib dems, even a green supporter who are totally against restrictions of any kind, many against the vacine too. I think Johnson is more concerned about his position when making these decisions then that of anything else. In my opinion, we have missed the boat on locking down anyway, if we wanted it to be effective.

Im glad that Chinese tennis player is okay. I'm glad that her original post ( that disappeared after 20 mins) was fake and she would never say anything about the ‘glorious Chinese state’. Happy that it was not true. She will now take an extended life break from tennis and public life. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Can’t disagree with any of that Bob. :emoticon-0148-yes:

She may be sent to a Uighur type camp to be re-educated first. When a senior Chinese official sexually assaults you, you've imagined the whole thing
