Oxford Street: Men filmed spitting at Jewish people on bus - BBC News
I find this BBC article fascinating:
"An
alleged anti-Semitic incident involving passengers on a bus in central London is being treated as a hate crime, the Met Police has said...Footage
appears to show men spitting at and abusing people on the bus...In the video,
a man seems to make a Nazi salute and others wave their shoes - an insult in some countries."
"Some
racial slurs about Muslims
can also be heard from inside the bus, which had been hired by a group of
Jewish people celebrating the eight-day festival [of Hanukkah]."
Why is the BBC not allowed to say that the men were of Asian descent? Why did they only
seem to be doing what you can see in the video? Why does the video only
appear to show what you can see them doing when racial slurs
can be heard from within a bus full of
Jewish people?
Yeah, I know... innocent until proven guilty, eh? Gotta mind the law, eh? One of the nasty Jews is guilty of a racial slur, though, eh?
I'm sure it's all very unbiased and accidental use of language. No institutional whatsits to see here. Move along now.
Oy veh!
