He misread the news line and thought it was a member of the public who had been killed. He has apologised, according to the Telegraph.

Silly mistake but we all make them.

Hopefully we can all find it in our hearts to massively overreact in faux outrage.

Boris,
‘we have to be extra vigilant with regards to terror attacks!!’
But it’s okay to let everyone, anyone in, feed and house them, and haven’t a clue who they are ??

Certainly a clumsy error, but at least he quickly apologised, which is more than many politicians do.

He had no choice. Your initial reaction was magnified many times over in Twitter.

It should be a lesson to all politicians to find out known facts before attempting a virtue signal.

Further terrorist attacks are inevitable thanks to our weak government and also a lack of credible opposition. When this happens @BorisJohnson and @pritipatel MUST be held accountable for aiding and abetting thousands of potential terrorists to enter the country illegally.

They didn't have Christmas markets when I was a kid, but they've really become part of the festive season as the crash barriers go up and you start seeing police with machine guns. Happy gifting season everyone.

Shocked that you’d use this to make some non-sensical point about immigration.

Brace yourself for the ‘France are reneging on an international convention that says refugees should claim asylum in their first safe haven country ’ gammon hued mob, forgetting that these poor people have been through many ‘safe’ countries before they reach France, and they want to get to England because they speak a bit of the language and have friends/contacts/relations here. It’s not because of welfare/benefits, most EU countries have better than us. Also forgetting that the U.K. government thinks that an actual formal agreement like the NI protocol can be ignored, let alone a non binding ‘convention’.

Godamn those hate mob that doesn't want to be blown up! Manchester Arena anyone?
