He misread the news line and thought it was a member of the public who had been killed. He has apologised, according to the Telegraph.
Silly mistake but we all make them.
Hopefully we can all find it in our hearts to massively overreact in faux outrage.

I seached and couldn't find anything.
That explains it and I thought it was unlikely.
Seen the apology. Still ****ing thick to jump in with both boots when a bloke blows up on his own in the back of a cab.

Certainly a clumsy error, but at least he quickly apologised, which is more than many politicians do.
He had no choice. Your initial reaction was magnified many times over in Twitter.
It should be a lesson to all politicians to find out known facts before attempting a virtue signal.
If only MPs had addressed ‘online anonymity’ more swiftly

Further terrorist attacks are inevitable thanks to our weak government and also a lack of credible opposition. When this happens @BorisJohnson and @pritipatel MUST be held accountable for aiding and abetting thousands of potential terrorists to enter the country illegally.
