I take your point, but in individual sport it's usually people who do well that get noticed.

I think the reason Emma is getting so much attention is that she's an 18 year old qualifier who has won a grand slam and looks like she could get to the very top in her sport.
I'd have raved about her if she was from Outer *****lia mate.

There’s a lot of middle aged men who have never shown an interest in women’s tennis before raving about her. Odd that.

To be fair, they might have been interested when Sharapova was in her prime as well.

“We must regain our legal sovereignty in order to no longer be subject to the judgments of the CJEU or the ECHR.
We will propose a referendum in September on the question of immigration”

I did see that Barnier wants certain freedoms from the EU and is looking to run for President in such a manifesto.
Maybe the trough is too full for him nowadays

as my grandson’s partner has lost her job at a spa in a hotel in Grantham because the govt have put Afghans in all 89 rooms and closed it off from the public indefinitely.

So she’s lost her livelihood to make way for them.
