Israel. Am I the only one that feels more than uncomfortable that Palestinians are being turned out of their houses so that they can be taken over by Jewish settlers on the grounds that Jewish people lived in the area 2000 years ago?
The whole Israel question a cluster f**k. Not an easy solution.
It is, and it's nearly impossible for the Israeli government to deal with the dogmatism of the likes of Hamas. But Israel has to be the height of reasonableness if it doesn't want to lose international support. If it starts throwing out Palestinians of their houses and replacing them with Jewish families, they'll be accused of a type of apartheid. They need to tread carefully imo

Was originally for the israelies and against palestine and terrorism when i was younger. As you say i don't think anyone is against the Jews having a place of their own after WW2. What they don't teach you its the land grab year after year from israel who forcibly take more land. Its at this point that it's obvious that the bad guys here are the Israelies (although it is far more nuanced than this).
Yes, it is more nuanced. You can argue that Israel, surrounded by enemy states, wants to strengthen and grow. And who came blame Jewish people for wanting a homeland after what they went through last century?
But I feel uncomfortable about throwing Palestinians out of the homes when they've done nothing wrong and broken no laws. Israel has a pretty right wing government - that idiot Trump was a big supporter which says a lot. It's time for moderate Jewish voices in Israel to be heard
Yea obviously theres the hate of the arabs at the Jews and the whole history, but this is never going to end as israel forcibly invades and takes more land year on year which ineivitably follows with a skirmish and more dead palestianians and israelies
What would be really great would be the Hamas rocket's not falling short on Palestinian territory and killing Palestinians but actually hitting their targets and killing Israelis
