Neither Boris nor Mogg had parents who were politicians. And, as I've already said and you ignored, Grandpa would have had the same power and also came from a well to do middle class family.

Who is grandpa? Are you suggesting they had similar upbringings? Did grandpa have a nanny?

Are we talking about Jeremy Corbyn? Grew up living in 17th century Yew Tree Manor, then attended preparatory school before attending private school as a day student? Later an Islington resident who managed to keep his job for over 30 years and somehow managed a promotion to leader of the opposition despite being completely useless?

I'd say he was already an elite before losing two elections.

Sorry, no intention of engaging in the wider debate. Just didn't want to miss out on an opportunity to remind everyone that Corbyn is as hypocritical as he is useless.

Excellent post, Raving

You're as bad as Ellers with the Corbyn obsession. Get over it.

Corbyn is yesterday's man, but isn't the difference here that Corbyn was indeed born into relative privilege (he couldn't do anything to avoid that could he?), but unlike the likes of Johnson, Cameron and Rees-Mogg, who want to protect unearned wealth for themselves and their chums, he thinks it should be shared.

It was, wasn’t it. I noticed a few of the usual suspects didn’t want to challenge that post. Not surprised as he was spot on. Some people fell for Jezza’s ‘man of the people’ crap. The picture in lockdown of his champagne dinner is what he really is.
Meanwhile Sir Starmer is getting slated even by his own supporters for that wallpaper picture. Desperate.

Says the guy who is obsessed with Boris and JRM. If Jezza is yesterday’s man, what is Starmer?

I just did challenge it in my reply to Goldie. It was a fatuous post.

Starmer with the wallpaper reminds me of the Edstone!

I'm sure Sir Kier is a good lawyer but his political antennae is stunted from birth

Part of Corbyn's problem was he wanted to send wealth overseas, including to his chums in Hamas, rather than focus on traditional Labour voters in the North.

Boris isn't that wealthy. He had an estimated wealth of £4m (compare with Gareth Bales £22 million per year) and this was before an expensive divorce with Marina to provide for her and their four children.

Isn't Marina the one that he left while she was being treated for cancer? I think they lived in Islington, rather ironically.

If he could keep his Johnson in his trousers a bit more, he might not be so skint.

Leader of HM opposition. Corbyn isn't any more.

Johnson is currently Prime Minister and therefore worthy of scrutiny.
Agree 100%
However you and others are being very vocal regarding wallpaper and a payment yet when Jezza was leader of HM opposition and there were 1200 incidents of Anti-semitism within the party and many of the roads led to Corbyn’s office, you and others were very quiet? Funny that?
Just to remind you... never in all my time following politics have I witnessed something so abhorrent from HM opposition.
That’s why Jezza keeps getting mentioned because hypothetically he could have been PM ( he never ever was but let’s just pretended). The country dodged a bullet there.
And you worry about wallpaper?

If you could stop pretending to give the first **** about anti-semitism to have a pop at Labour that would be fab, mate.

What’s the number plucked out the air for today on how many would have died under Labour?

That’s now 40 Labour Party MPs, councillors & mayors arrested, charged, suspended, or placed under investigation in the past 6 months for fraud, *****phillia, harassment, anti-semitism & child neglect. Still nothing from the media, just wallpaper.
