I see Beautiful Days looks like it’s going ahead this year....typically I’ve book a week at the caravan with the kids on that weekend.......oh how I love family life :(

I knew we were the same Stainsey..

Yes Beautiful Days is going ahead.
Yes I have a ticket (rollover from last year)
Am I going????

PROBABLY NOT

2nd grandchild due 17th August, first grandchild birth was pretty traumatic. So very very unlikely I will be there

But happy not to go under the circumstance :azn:

Gonna be interesting I got one each of a ... a, b, c, d and 4 of the questions do not really apply.
I don't shop at any of those...... Tescos
My sunday breakfast is none of those...usually yoghurt
None of those would really be an indulgence for me 3 I have never really indulged in...and I don't drink wine much any more, it makes me ill
And i would not pick up lunch from any of those....if I was really out and about...I would grab a choccy bar

What does that make me Stan
High maintenance.

So your Sunday breakfast is usually yoghurt? YOU ELITIST !!!!

And most definitely WOKE

Cheeky...:1980_boogie_down:

Low maintenance I would suggest........ yoghurt and a choccy bar for breakfast and lunch!
High as you (and Stainsey it seems) were reluctant to use your vivid imaginations to go for a ‘nearest equivalent’. Eg ASDA - for Tesco’s, croissant is a middle class alternative for yoghurt, you can pick up a chock bar from Greggs or Pret and I know you know the difference between them in a social class assessment, I’m saying you would get your chock from Pret, the indulgence question is undeniably naff, but I will allocate you an exotic takeaway, giving you a b and 3 more c’s, making you a c.

Ive done the work for you. High maintenance.*

* was reading something about Women’s Day and some of the incredibly sexist films that were about until very recently and was surprised to see that this film was not rated as dodgy, and in particular this phrase was absolved of offence, on the grounds that Sally really was high maintenance. I think the film as a whole escaped because it was written by a woman and Billy Crystal was not the stereotypical male icon.

I am going to defend myself.
I have yoghurt every single day, don't like breakfast, so yoghurt is the least I can get away with.
Where was the I skip breakfast option

You cannot just change my supermarket choose Stan. I have a Tesco's clubcard..

And finally I have no idea what film you are talking about.. Films are so middle-class..they upset my Wokeness

Four As and four Bs.....

I know I put this on the review thread, but you really must watch Darren McGarveys Class Wars on iPlayer. I've watched the full series now, and it's a great eye opener into how we decide what class we are, how we mobilise ourselves through the classes, how we perceive those in other classes and the effects this all can have on society.

Darren McGarvey’s Class Wars, Series 1: 1. Identity Crisis: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000s7hd via @bbciplayer

Watched the first episode Steels and gonna watch the whole lot tonight.
Found it really interesting when he talked about certain sports being identified with a certain class...ie Football/Boxing being working class.
I would say though, when he talked briefly about Golf he could of gone into the fact that this was considered an upper class sport many years, mainly played by the elite class....however, it seems to me this is one sport that has now transcended the class system (if such a thing exists) and is now played by many people who consider themselves of a working class disposition. Possibly this is due to there now being many ‘pay and play’ courses in the UK, negating the need for people to join an expensive club just to play.

A good programme mate, thankyou. (Even though I’d never heard of this Scottish Rapper)

Exactly. So many of the answers to those questions were 'none of those'.
Load of tosh.

Jaroslav Chudoba, 45, downloaded more than 8,000 indecent images of children
.
A *****phile who secretly downloaded more than 8,000 child abuse images walked free from court.

Jaroslav Chudoba had a vile library including 600 photographs showing child rape of girls aged as young as five.

The 45-year-old's sickening collection also featured boys being molested and disturbing animal abuse files.

But the pervert was spared jail after a short hearing in which no mitigation or explanation for the sentencing decision was heard in open court.

Chudoba appeared in the dock at Liverpool Crown Court this afternoon.

The Czech national was assisted by a Czech interpreter, appearing over a CVP video link system, to translate for him.

Judge Stuart Driver, QC, said counsel would have to summarise the case in as few words as possible for the interpreter.

Jo Maxwell, prosecuting, said Chudoba had indicated likely guilty pleas when he appeared before magistrates on January 19.

She said police obtained a warrant and raided Chudoba's home in King Edward Street, Warrington on July 7 last year, when they seized "a number of devices".

Chudoba admitted downloading 600 Category A, 430 Category B and 7,100 Category C indecent images of children.

He pleaded guilty to possessing 8,130 child abuse photos in total, along with a further 30 extreme pornography files.

Probably because the justice system has been increasingly ****ed for years through under-funding.

Bloody hell did I hear the news correctly? Apparently that cop may have been reported for indecent exposure 2 days before that girl went missing? If that is true then there will be a s##t storm.

You couldn't make it up. These left wing councils such as Lambeth, Croydon and Southwark keep on about air quality adversely affecting the poorer, ie BAME residents yet in these boroughs LTNs have been installed in the quieter wealthy areas diverting traffic onto the congested main roads where the poorer residents live. Disingenuous to blame others...

that cant be real

can it

Don’t keep it a secret.
Because that’s the way it is. Once I listened to a radio phone in regarding a rape case and the girl who was attacked had 2 organisations she could go to whereas the attack had 11... 11 ffs! We now live in a society where criminals seem to be treated better than the victims.
