Hopefully his ban from Twitter and other social media will do that. Locking him away for the rest of his days quickly would be justified, and help stop him running for President again. Impeachment would double down on that.
I sympathise with the idea but in a country as polarised as the US I don't see him ever being convicted of anything by a jury not to mention that his lawyers would ensure that they used the system to tie the case up in knots for years. He would have lots of air time to spout his bollocks. Personally I think America is in for a hard time and the best thing they could do would be to amass a full dossier of his public pronouncements and actions and recycle those endlessly when the **** hits the fan. Only when a majority of his supporters see that he is in fact responsible for their woes rather than their messiah will he effectively be consigned to history. However he has set the precedent on dispensing with convention time and again so should expect no pardon for any crimes committed by him.
