live bait. In all honesty though, either have done the circuit break for 2 weeks or don't lock down at all in favour of the economy.

Now we have the worst option of AT least a month where the economy will once against grind to a halt and we're going to borrow even more money and kicking that can down the road
That circuit break for 2 weeks would have been pointless. It would have hit the economy and the virus would have come back by Christmas.

tbh i'm thinking this new lockdown is the same. The virus will be back by March.

So this whole extended lockdown is to hit the economy so that we can have christmas?

The circuit break was never going to be two weeks though. It was open ended as is the current lockdown, and Gove has already admitted it may be extended beyond a month.

If it was going to be done, it should have been in September as Sage recommended, or over half-term as Starmer called for. They've just acted too late again.

So this one will hit the economy twice as much.

Bobby I agree with you. I don't have any answer like most to this other than the whole World needs to unite and tackle this together. A coordinated effort to stop the spread and illuminate it. Sadly you will always get some who won't work together or people who won't abide the rules. I don't think we will get an effective vaccine either.

Which SAGE are we talking about SAGE or the alternative one with DR King? both have said differently at times. This two week lockdown myth was always a non starter.

The one Johnson pretends to listen to when he says we’re following the science.

Why was it a non-starter? Sounds very much like it was a starter.

Firstly you can’t know it’d have come back for Christmas it would have been how it was handled, what the new updated position would have been.

This lockdown will hit the economy a lot harder, not only will it have to be longer due to the wider and higher number of cases, they missed the opportunity of combining it with half term and included school children who do carry the virus and are infectious, especially in senior school. Come on Ellers even you must admit it would have been a much better solution.

I haven't seen evidence that half term made any difference and Johnson had to see whether regional lockdown worked before locking down the whole country including rural regions where there was no problem. If he had gone for the two week break, it would have solved nothing and Starmer would have accused him of taking people's jobs.

As someone that despises my country for not backing the patriotic Full English Brexit, I approve of this. Hope he gets violently bummed to death.

let’s hope if he spends time in a cell he gets a tv, don’t want him crying about that again.

This is how you do it

Gun sales rocketing in the US as inbred rednecks prepare for civil war.

But Biden said something wrong as documented in a Twitter post from Brexit4Englund27894838 so is probably more dangerous than Trump.

?
In that case, it's not a good decade for Labour.

U-turn Johnson attacks Starmer on circuit breaker idea, 'trying to turn off the lights'...then two weeks later .... he's now decided to follow the science when he chose to mock Starmer for... following the science, when the situation was a lot less critical and he solution could have involved being through half term and the children could have been involved in the lockdown helping curb infection rates, it's a massive **** up... again
