The hotel I'm in is very quiet and the pub we went to less than fully booked and no drinkers allowed at the bar. Our meal was excellent and it was great to be able to eat out again. The staff were hugely happy to be back at work but a bit disappointed that there weren't more customers - not all available tables were booked
In Liverpool yesterday afternoon many of the city centre restaurants were still closed as we're the majority of the bars and pubs
If I'm still alive next weekend we will head out again - the economy desperately needs our support

The BBC loves to focus on the negative all the time. They were predicting countrywide meltdown last night and it just didn't happen
But it will still fuel some peoples constant negativity and handwringing
People enjoying themselves, nothing wrong with that hopefully. Anyone and everyone knows that the guidelines cant be adhered to in city centre night life. It's a tad easier in the town or country pub.
