I agree but why post this crap unless he wanted to make Johnson look responsible for all the NHS problems? People forget we have an ageing population, we have had record numbers of immigration and our Drs and Nurses are being poached by Canada/Australia/NZ for better money and lifestyle.
The NHS is in crisis but even under Labour they closed down plenty of hospital units. Even where I live the baby special care unit was closed under Blair and the local hospitals were always under pressure. Thing is a government has a set amount of money and unlike Labour promising everything, spending 4 times the amount they have ( last week) the Tories will need to address this properly or there will be major problems.
After Brexit is sorted I believe the NHS should get a bit of relief as we won’t have as many people coming from abroad, using it. The Tories are bringing out plans to stop the abuse of the NHS (which they believe is happening).

When I go to the hospital, the people from abroad that I see are working there, not abusing the system.

That’s not what I said and you know that. I said that’s what the Tories are saying.
However I agree people from abroad work in the NHS....they also use it.

By that same logic though, there are also thousands of Brits in the EU using healthcare. I've had a number of health issues in the 9 years since living in France, plus two kids, one of whom was seriously ill and in intensive care for a few weeks. We were entitled to the exact same care a French person would be entitled to.

Just pointing out that it does work both ways...and that's not even taking into account the retired Brits in Spain and the South of France who would otherwise take up a lot of NHS resources.

Agree Dave. I have used the French hospital care when I fell out of a caravan and thought I broke my ankle. They looked after me well. However the UK is a smaller country than most and we have a had a large influx of people...adding to a people living longer and lifestyle problems. It’s something that should have been addressed before the Tories ever came to power. They have thrown lots of money at it but it needs some revolutionary ideas.

Massively unpopular policy, but semi-privatized healthcare works well here...not the thousands they pay in the USA, but we pay €26 a month as a family, and that covers most things.

Our aging population won't be able to pay for itself. It's why we need immigrant workers.

I think that’s what Farage was trying to say before he gets shouted down, saying he is Trumps mate.

Radioactive food grown near the wrecked Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan will be sold to British shoppers next month under controversial EU plans.
Controls over radioactivity levels in produce from Japan following the 2011 disaster are to be lifted by Brussels as part of the world’s biggest ever trade deal.
It means that British shops will soon be selling goods from the disaster-hit area including baby food, breakfast cereals, fish, crustaceans, meat and green tea. Tests in recent years have shown faint traces of radioactive substances including caesium 134 and 137.
The Japanese government has enforced a strict regime on food from the Fukushima prefecture since the accident, and scientists have...

Mirror’s NHS Story Created By Crank Conspiracy Group
You must log in or register to see images

The Mirror’s splash today is expected to be the basis for Corbyn’s NHS speech alleging that the UK somehow wants to raise drug prices as a result of a US trade deal. The opposite of what trade deals do… nobody does a trade deal to raise prices.
The FOI research for the Labour/Mirror story was carried out by the Global Justice campaign group. They’re run by Nick Dearden, who is a cranky anti-Israel obsessive with some pretty nutty views…

Dearden is an anti-Israel obsessive whose main objective to a trade deal with the US seems to be that the US would want us to discourage people from boycotting Israeli products – something that is already in the Tory manifesto.
His other views include having:
  • Claimed that former chief rabbi Jonathan Sacks accusing Corbyn of being an antisemite was ‘an attempt to silence those speaking up for Palestine’.
  • Said jihadist groups like ISIS shouldn’t be banned from the UK
  • Said antisemitism was used to ‘silence any MP who dares criticise Israel’
  • Singled out George Soros as an ‘extremist’ that caused the Greek financial crisis
  • Praised corrupt Tower Hamlets mayor Lutfur Rahman, claiming that he ‘speaks for me’
  • Dismissed Hamas’ opposition to a Jewish state
  • Defended anti-semite Lib Dem peer Jenny Tonge, claiming she was ‘sacked for telling it like it is on Israel’
  • In 2016, Dearden wrote an article praising Venezuela’s ‘foundation for a truly democratic food system’, and that it has ‘lit a beacon of hope’. In the three years since Venezuela has seen widespread famine, starvation and malnutrition…
Dearden’s main objection to a trade deal with the US seems to be that it will make it harder to boycott Israel. He has also said that criticism of Corbyn over antisemitism by former chief rabbi Jonathan Sacks was ‘an attempt to silence those speaking up for Palestine’.
Other highlights include praise for Venezuela’s ‘democratic food system’, defending Hamas, calling George Soros an ‘extremist’ who caused the Greek financial crisis, and opposing banning ISIS from the UK. Dearden has said he is attending the Corbyn event…

Useful if the bulb on your fridge blows. You'll be able to see the food glowing in the dark. The EU think of everything
