Yeah, who cares about a bunch of complaining Jewish MP's, members and religious leaders. They don't know what they're talking about

It's about as big an issue as Islamophobia in the Tory party, but the MSM don't want to talk about that. No matter how much the Tories want to distract from it, the NHS is the real issue in this election.

It's nothing like as big. How many Muslim MP's have had to leave the Tory Pary because of intimidation? How many needed a bodyguard at the Party conference? Is the Tory Party being investigated by the EHRC? The only other party ever to have EHRC investigation is the British National Party! That's shows how low Corbyn's Labour has sunk. I feel sorry for decent Labour members because it rubs off on them

It's Pharma that's the main concern, I think. This is from a freely available document stating the US's objectives in UK trade negotiations.

Procedural Fairness for Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices:
- Seek standards to ensure that government regulatory reimbursement regimes are transparent, provide procedural fairness, are nondiscriminatory, and provide full market access for U.S. products.

The document is here...

https://ustr.gov/sites/default/files/Summary_of_U.S.-UK_Negotiating_Objectives.pdf

Full market access for US Pharma would mean massively increased costs to the NHS and for prescriptions, I would expect.

Where's Stan when we need him?

There’s nothing wrong with US pharma’s ambition, but it’s the government’s responsibility to minimise the impact on patients.

Like you say, Stan’s input would be interesting. I’m not clear how Brexit would or could change the way in which the NHS acquires supplies compared with today. Does it have to operate within an EU framework at the moment?

Apparently brand name drugs are more expensive in the US, and generic drugs are cheaper, than in the UK.

Brand name drugs represent about 5% of drugs used and generic 95%, so there's a strong argument that a deal with the US could save money. We're going to be hearing a lot about this in the future no doubt.

Corbyn is still banging on about chlorinated chicken. If someone dropped his chicken in the swimming pool that had the effect of killing the deadly bacteria crawling all over it, is he really going to complain (assuming he can swim to retrieve it)?

There's a delay to the Boris Johnson interview with Andrew Neil. Number 10 are understandably trying to exclude questions on children(his), mistresses (his), water cannon, zip wires, red wine on sofa arguments, letterboxes, water melons and piccaninnies

Important news tonight... the YouGov poll that was spot on in the 2017 is due out at 10pm. This is the most accurate poll. It will be interesting to see.

About time people understood the difference between having issues with the Israeli government and hatred of Jews. I agree why should Corbyn get drawn into a trap yet they won’t let up.

I can state re the Big Pharma thing as spent 25 years in the industry. Ellers stated that the U.K. was now behind the U.S or words similar to... What a joke that is they pull the strings globally
Tell that to Johnson and Johnson?

So.... not all are happy in the EU....apparently Macron recommended someone for the top job and was overruled by the Germans and they are not happy. The commentator said Macron is unhappy with the way the EU is heading and France and Germany are moving away from each other. :1980_boogie_down:
