Along with Lord Janner, Leon Brittain and Cyril Smith and I'm sure there are many others, why do we accept that these people of perceived high repute are allowed to get away with this? The expenses claims pales into insignificance of what this political scum are all about. They need to be held to account and made to swing when they're found guilty.

What's the deal with the House of Lords these days? I vaguely remember Blair reforming it to some extent. Are hereditary Peerages gone?

I'm no expert but while it's legally not allowed there are ways around it I believe.
I've just looked up the House of Lords Dr WATSon and it still seems rather archaic. I thought Blair reformed it but it looks like he didn't do sh*t
