As a Jew, I* feel far more threat from the rise and normalisation of the far right than anything on the left. Feel the anti-semitism is well overhyped to smear Corbyn personally when he’s vocally condemned it while our actual PM very openly panders to the greater number of islamophobes in the country.

Not saying the Labour membership is perfect by any means.

*fear is more for others than myself.

mmm that's interesting I posted quotes from a respected reporter from last night and you brush them aside, yet in the same breath you say i wriggle out of evidence...<doh> Why don't you just come out with it Staines, that you are a denier and believe that Corbyn is innocent.
The fact that the human rights council are investigating should ring alarm bells? <doh>
Oh dear mate that rest hasn't done you any good at all. A respected reporter :emoticon-0136-giggl:emoticon-0136-giggl:emoticon-0136-giggl. Just post a direct quote from Corbyn. Hes such an antisemitic that they should be everywhere. :emoticon-0127-lipss

I understand your concern for the rise of the far right, but are you a Labour member? If not, you are probably no better qualified to comment than the rest of us, are you? You haven't experienced what Jewish members have complained about.

I won't bother Goldie. We have sympathisers of Corbyn who will not listen to reason.
The difference bet you and I and them is at least when Boris made remarks we both stated that it was stupid and wrong to do whereas our deniers won't accept overwhelming evidence, eveivdence that is coming out every day.

There does seem to be a degree of defiant, wilful blindness!

No I’m not but I’m experienced in living as a Jew in and around NW London for most of my life and now in a place with no Jewish presence at all I know of. I’ve experienced enough anti-semitism and don’t recall much of it being from anyone likely to back Labour.

I believe over a dozen Labour MP's have resigned over Corbyn's handling of the anti-semitism allegations, Stainsey. The threats are clear enough. There's plenty of evidence of those and the police take them seriously.

Corbyn has been careful not to hold a smoking gun. But bit by bit the evidence has mounted up against him, largely, but not solely, by his failure to act. It will be interesting to see what the EHRC concludes, but there is some suggestion that if it comes down against Labour, the party could be bankrupted by multi-million lawsuits by aggrieved Jewish ex members. The NEC are ****ting themselves over this. Watch this space!
Think you would need to go back a long time to find 12 Labour MP's who have resigned full stop, let alone due to anti semitism. There are far more resignations of Tory MP's. Apart from the many Tory MP's and ex-Cabinet members who resigned because they can no longer stomach Tory hard Brexit, and abuse of Parliamentary democracy, the most common reason for MP resignations these days seems to be the abuse and death threats to their families as well as themselves, mostly anti-hard Brexit MP's are receiving.

Here are a few. One of the reasons they gave was Corbyn's handling of anti-semitism.

Joan Ryan, Anne Coffey, Angela Smith, Chris Leslie, Mike Gapes, Luciana Berger, Gavin Shuker and Chuka Umunna all announced their resignation this week. Ian Austin has now become the ninth MP to resign from the Labour Party.

Louise Ellman is more recent, specifically related to the a-s issue. Margaret Hodge, also Jewish, is being kicked out.

Think you're out of date. Corbyn's Labour and the hard left's attitude to Jewish people is different. Ask Louise Ellman or Margaret Hodge, or Luciana Berger or any others that have left

Not even a dozen and far from all due to perceived anti semetism.
