So you think remainers played nicely, dear god you are naive, David C.A.Moron spent 9 million of taxpayers money telling us if left we would leave both the customs union and single market, Osborne and Cameron went on tv telling us that within 14 days of the referendum if we voted out the following would occur, the pound would lose at least 10%of its value, 500,000 jobs would go overnight, house prices would fall by over 30 % the aeroplanes would fall out the sky the day we left, there would be no food on the shelves, the list goes on , so don’t tell us who voted leave that the campaign we believed in was all a lie because from where I sit the Remain campaign was based on scaremongering bollox and lies.

You could’ve saved a lot of time and blood pressure if you’d just read the post properly, bruv.

It's not "Country" to try to reverse a democratic referendum of that country. And Cameron's government spent millions on the Remain campaign, and Remain had wealthy American merchant banks like JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs and the corporates, multinationals etc that get favours from Brussels funding it. Leave was largely individual donations from Joe public. So the "poor old Remainers" argument doesn't wash. And as the success of the Brexit Party shows in the European Parliamentary elections, people haven't changed their minds since the referendum

There was a legal challenge lost in Scotland.
Try to keep up.

They all lie.

I'm no big fan of Boris, but so far, he's playing a blinder.
The more "outraged" (lol) people like you become, the better I'll reckon he's doing.
Pretty pissed now, so I'll duck out.
No doubt you'll want the last word.

The high court in London doesn’t sit in August therefore all the legal matters are transferred to Edinburgh if I remember correct. Like Boris but would prepare him to come clean he isn’t doing this for the country he’s doing this to protect the con party firstly

I hate the conservatives by the way

Plus it’s just a political stunt and agree they all do it

How we leave the EU is of the upmost importance

Is it worth the bother Strolls? I applaud your valiant effort but Johnson could start executing Remain MP's live on TV and Col would find a way to make peace with it in the name of his sacred Brexit. He's not even bothering to engage properly at all now. It's true we are all dug in like Alabama ticks on either side of the debate but if the **** Boris and co. have been pulling of late isnt enough to make the hard core Brexiters stop and think nothing will.

Good Yes Minister plot for Col that and the box set of Dad’s Army he would be happy

Tell them all to **** off

The High Court does sit in August, the Supreme Court doesn't sit between July and October. I can assure you High Court business is not transferred to Edinburgh! Edinburgh appeals will be heard by the Supreme Court in London. Therefore, October, although given the importance of that date, perhaps the Supreme Court will convene a little early this year

I think the 'sovereignty' of Parliament has been totally undermined from the start by a biased Speaker who is supposed to be impartial but has openly declared he will do anything he can to stop Brexit. When you are playing the referee as well as the opposition Parliament has little credence. The fact Boris has for the first time pulled a fast one on the opposition and the faux outrage of Remoaners alleging it is a 'Coup' is beyond hypocritical. The Speaker continues to openly plot with the opposition on tactics, I don't recall Betty Boothroyd plotting against John Major when he previously prorogued Parliament back in the day...

Absolutely spot on.

Every case brought re this matter is likely to be appealed up to the Supreme Court. Can't see their lordships wanting to interfere with the decisions of an elected government

The public didn't elect Johnson and no one elected Cummings. Gove on the Marr show today wouldn't even rule out ignoring anti-No Deal legislation that may be passed next week. What do you think their lordships would make of that?

Parliament won the last Civil War.

As you know we don't have a presidential system, so complaints against Boris are as invalid as those against Gordon Brown.

I've never heard you complaining about Alastair Campbell.

I don't think Boris would ignore properly passed legislation. More likely to announce a GE.

Comparing Boris to Charles I is amusing.

Johnson on Brown...….

Hypocrite, moi?

Campbell was a spin doctor, he hadn't dictate governmental tactics in the way that Cummings seems to.

Johnson, under Cummings's direction, seems capable of anything. Ignoring, or breaking, law wouldn't be a surprise.

Cummings wants a 'Parliament v people' election. Parliament is the people.
