Ha. It’s a real pisstake that it’s barely £4 an hour for a teenager doing the same job as someone else over £8.
My sarcasm was aimed at the fact that he won’t win any votes with this particular policy. After spending ages nagging my daughter to get a part time job I was appalled to discover how much she was getting paid in Paperchase (though it was a lot more than £4), especially given that she was essentially running a concession in House of Fraser herself every Saturday, with sales targets and all.

We won’t get rid of theses cretinous inequalities through state driven top down stuff, or voting for Corbyn. Pay everyone the same and hold the means of production in common. Demand the impossible.

I'll be voting Lib Dem or Green in the EU elections.
Good, because I have concluded that Corbyn is a racist. Not in the sense of thinking that Jews are inferior to him, or wanting to wipe them out, but certainly in the sense that he believes, possibly subliminally, in the ‘Jewish conspiracy’ bollocks.

What about the next General Election? Who gets your X then?

Here's something really deliberately racist...…..

And people on here can't wait to vote for him.

I don't agree this is racist. Farage was pointing out the scale of the economic migrant problem coming into the EU and the EU's failure to deal with it. Colour or religion didn't come into it. They could have been white, it's numbers that is the problem. Illegal immigration is a major issue in the EU now, with countries like Austria and Hungary on the war path against Merkel and the Commission.

On QT on Thursday, Soubry said all the people in the photograph were genuine refugees. Bollocks they were.

Now the dust has settled on the Danny Baker affair, it's clear what happened. His main target was the Royal Family (no problem there) - but he used racism to make it. It was basically a wind-up at the RF's expense, saying "Look, you've introduced a monkey into your precious family."

His subsequent claim that he didn't know Meghan had black ancestry is risable. He was racist, he deserved to lose his job but the police investigation is OTT.

Now that Baker has apologised fully and seems genuinely sorry, I have reconsidered my earlier comments.
I don't think he is a racist or was even trying to be racist with his awful tweet.
People on here have said that they didn't know about Meghan's pregnancy (Steelmonkey and Oslo), which, given the blanket news coverage and social media interest is nothing short of incredible, so I can just about accept that Baker didn't either.
However, this just demonstrates to me just how up his own arse he is.

He really SHOULD have been aware of what was in the news (still struggling to believe he didn't , but there it is).

Don't agree, Col. There is no way on God's earth that Danny Baker who, given the nature of his (old) job, had to surround himself with media people on a daily basis, didn't know about Meghan's pregnancy. He knew, and and used it to rub the Royal Family's nose in the genetics issue.

The BBC pulled the HIGNFY programme tonight because having Heidi Allen (leader of Change UK) on a comedy programme would have broken editorial guidelines regarding the EU elections. This after Farage (leader of the Brexit party) was on QT last night for 23 thousandth time in living memory.

So what? Change UK was also represented on QT by the execrable Soubry, or did you forget? If there's a comedy program where Allen is taking the piss out of the Brexit Party (which doubtless the Hislop and Merton will go along since they are strongly Remain), then this would be prejudicial given the forthcoming elections. The BBC made the right decision (for once)

It may depend on where we are with Brexit by then, but assuming it's back to 'normal' I'll vote for Labour and its manifesto of re-nationalisation and proper funding of our vital services.

They could have been white, but they weren't. They were brown, with beards. A completely bogus and cynical conflation of the refugee crisis, fear of Islamist terrorism and free movement of workers within the EU. Disgusting and racist.

I'd vote for Danny Baker before I would Farage.

Since you agree they could have been white, Strolls, then it can't be a racist poster. For it to be racist, colour and religion would be essential. I agree there was conflation - of the issues of illegal immigration and poor control of EU borders. As I said, this is a major and growing issue within the EU which will probably impact the forthcoming elections.

I hope for your sake Danny Baker decides to stand for election (probably UKIP) so you can exercise your vote!

That's bollocks, Goldie. He could have used a picture of a few white polish plumbers, but he didn't, did he? He used a picture of thousands of brown, bearded (probably Muslim), refugees to scare people. And it worked.

I'm saying that Farage is racist (his poster, which was a major factor in the referendum campaign, is clearly so) and you've already declared your intention to vote for him.

Please be clear you pathetic, sad, bitter little man. Are you accusing me of being a racist because I'm voting for the Brexit party? Yes or no?

A picture of some Polish plumbers would not have addressed the issue of illegal immigration of economic migrants into the EU and complete inertia from the EU administrative machine in dealing with it. There's a major row brewing in the EU over this issue, which has nothing to do with the UK or Farage.

I thought the same, till Steelmonkeys and Oslo both said that they were unaware of the mixed race Royal baby.
