mmm, so Caroline Spelman reads out a letter from one of her constituents saying he and his family voted to leave and feel that the MP's are not listening and will never vote again. So Spelman says she is withdrawing her amendment and the "remainer' Bercow says she can't and other signatories might want to still go ahead.
You just get the feeling that this is turning into one big stitch up.

I wish I could copy and paste from one site to here ggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr,
Just saw a post on Facebook from a friend, it’s a screenshot of a tweet by Guy Verhofstadt on pushing and suggesting that what the EU needs to do is basically expand into Africa creating a powerhouse union between the Eu /Africa to tap into the billions that can be made from the African continent that could rival The Chinese and Asian markets.
If this is true is there actually no shame in the man and his blatant desire for European domination and the European superstate.
China has started moving into Africa as it's a very quick growing place. It still has some weird governments but big business will remove them and probably exploit the people. The freaks at the EU do not care about democracy or people.

I see Albania and Macedonia are next to join the EU and reap the benefits of our generosity

Great news that will make the EU more powerful
Plus we are a ex member
About time you old dinosaurs lost the fact that we grew the EU ... we were too self obsessed half the time to work within the EU . We were frankly useless and should of helped shape the EU

All this bollocks about being a rich country needs killing off ... it’s a false thing we are in bloody debt and always have been

However we are the largest shop in Europe and because of the blue sheep dinosaurs things are going to become a lot more expensive

With a lot of suppliers based in the EU only expect one thing ... rising prices you bloody fools take the blinkers off

Brilliant question from Hilary Benn MP

"Why is it democratic to keep bringing back to the House a proposition that has been historically defeated twice, but it is somehow undemocratic to ask the British people if they want to change their minds?"

I think I said this here earlier!!!!

Btw...did I ever mentioning I played against Hilary Benn on Top of the Form in about 1970.

His school won!

What? Open your eyes Ellers it been happening for 15 years a lot of M&S daily stock comes from Kenya and the logistic route is far cheaper than it would be if M&S grew in bloody Kent

Goldie this then emphasises my point, it’s not that Corbyn is ‘Anti-Semitic’ per se, more that he hasn’t done enough to tackle ‘Anti-Semitism’ ?
To that I would say yes, maybe he should of done more but could that not also be down to being down to his leadership qualities rather than being ‘Anti-Semitic’, as many like to accuse him of ?
As I’ve said before, I’d rather have McDonnell as leader due to his characteristics and probable stronger leadership.......
Another thing we should not forget is that it’s well known that the problem also exists in the Conservative party, conveniently forgotten by some, with many showing support for regimes like the one in Hungary under Victor Orban which is well known for its Anti-Semitic views.

Anyway, lunch break almost over and back to the pain

I feel Corbyn's been sending messages to his troops by the way he has acted. It's a case of "who will rid me of this turbulent priest". And his supporters act on it. Anyway there we are. People will look at the evidence from differing positions.

PS I hope McClaren will be covering the whole of you back by teatime!

Yes I have heard that said before and in some instances he is right. He is crafty because he has been saying all along that we should respect the vote but really want's a peoples vote.
A lot of these MP's won't be in their jobs that long after they betray the will of the people.

Permanently ruling out a second referendum, I like
Yes, These remainer MP's are trying their best to stop Brexit. Although it is still in law (default) and these votes mean nothing. They would need to change constitution/Law to change it... That will go down well with the public who are livid with what is happening?

Macedonia, but especially Albania, are going to soak up a lot of EU money. Ireland, that has until recently (2016) been a net recipient country, will find itself being a big contributing country. I wonder if that will affect the popularity of the EU in that country.

I see our resident Euro fanatic is ecstatic that his beloved corrupt EU is gaining 2 more Eastern European countries thus becoming even more powerful, ( his words not mine )
Does anyone else get the impression that in a field full of Turkeys he is the only one looking forward to Christmas!!

Early life and education[edit]
Born in Hammersmith, London, he is the second son of former Labour Cabinet Minister Tony Benn and American-born educationalist Caroline Benn (née DeCamp). Benn is a fourth-generation MP – his father, his paternal grandfather Lord Stansgate, and his great-grandfathers Sir John Benn and Daniel Holmes were all Members of Parliament, mostly with factions of the Liberal Party.[1]

Benn attended Norland Place School, Westminster Under School, Holland Park School and the University of Sussex where he graduated in Russian and East European Studies. Benn has an older brother, Stephen, a younger sister Melissa and younger brother, Joshua.[2] Reflecting on his upbringing, he said: "I grew up in a household where we talked about the state of the world over breakfast, when we ate at night, and all points in between."[3]

Although May could reverse Brexit if she wanted. <doh> That would get her hung drawn and quartered.

Interesting comments from Steven Woolfe saying the UK MEP seats were divided between EU states and they have until 18th May to submit a candidate... well those countries have been campaigning for those seats and he says that the EU don't want UK MEP's being involved in the next elections. The other EU states will kick off if they believe they will lose seats. He also said Farage Brexit party are going to the high court to say if we are still in by that date we must have a seat. The EU don't really want us to stay now... except they do want our money.

Aah, the socialist Eton. I think Hilary might have left before it went batshit egalitarian, doing away with streaming altogether and not giving any awards for academic achievement.

The 70s were ****ing great. Seriously, bad luck for the kids involved, but who would even dream of doing something so experimental nowadays?

****, I forgot about ‘faith’ schools.

I think you will find the Irish are beginning to fall out of love with the EU, especially dumping large numbers of ''economic migrants'' in small communities on them
