In deed but line now given tonight’s unbelievably sad news.Proper pantomime stuff this.
Oh no I didn't!
Oh yes you did!
Exactly marra, i thought naively that the “working class party” after 14 years of correctly shouting and condemning Energy companies,Big business tax avoidance,Water companies,WASPI sufferers, we would get some action, but no let’s first attack the pensioners and benefits, only to back track after a public backlash……pathetic and shameful
Is any party actually going to take action against these energy companies and big corporations who take the piss, everyone appears to condemn and vilify them when in opposition but do sweet FA when in powerYou must log in or register to see mediaOnly those with too much were relatively unaffected by the last budget
Until we get control on donations it carries on. There needs to be an equitable limit on party income and campaigning. It’s all on who can pay the investment in tech. It’s gone far beyond the influence of Murdoch. So the wealthy become untouchable or they make you lose. I’d say the answer to this is critical thinking. I’d put that on the curriculum. It’s why I post so much, so it’s out there. Some people haven’t got the foggiest what goes on.Is any party actually going to take action against these energy companies and big corporations who take the piss, everyone appears to condemn and vilify them when in opposition but do sweet FA when in power
Agreed. I’ve organised some great projects with this. Life changing for me never mind those I took but they all still talk about it.Excellent news about rejoining Erasmus. I wanted my lad to get that opportunity but he missed out thanks to Brexit. Good to see it back. Well done Labour, smart policy.
So what obstacles in your opinion prevent Labour from re-nationalising water and energy companies, which should have never been privatised in the first placeUntil we get control on donations it carries on. Don’t fully understand the energy scenario but it seems GB energy won’t be a supplier just a generator of electricity. It’s also somehow connected to the crown estate, a likely business venture. EDF have the perfect model. Sell to people like us to make profit for France. So what obstacles in your opinion prevent Labour from re-nationalising water and energy companies, which should have never been privatised in the first place
Energy, water, rail, royal mail should and should have been untouchable and that’s coming from someone who believes in the principle of capitalismDon’t fully understand the energy scenario but it seems GB energy won’t be a supplier just a generator of electricity. Water, I was told by an ex senior water employee that the government would take on responsibility for things that need fixing that are lined up to be fixed and it would cost and lose money but I’m guessing that will be the case forever in that industry.
Either way, as you say, they should never have been privatised and I think we should also take the railways back in time. They’re all too important. I’d pay for some of it with a combination of windfall tax and fines.

I've followed the plight of Afghan women and girls who have had every single freedom curtailed by the Taliban and are pretty much under house arrest now. Banned from working, socialising and education. Not allowed out without a complete head and body covering and a male chaperone. Must not be heard speaking in public. Must not look out of the window at home. Struggling with medical complications as they can only be treated by female medical staff, but women are banned from working. And so on.
I appreciate that some Afghans are bad people, just the same as we have white British rapists, child abusers and so on here. To tar a whole nation with slurs like this is horrible and damaging for those families who should be welcomed with open arms to free the women and girls from the horrific conditions they are currently living under.
Not half as bad as the Palestine crap they keep marching about and supporting real terrorists ,who started the war off by planning, murdering ,raping and torturing to death Jews who were supplying work and food to them .By the tunnels alone they had been planning this attack for years, all the while living off the cash handouts donated to help the people not buy weapons from IranCampaigning for Reform …
A teacher who featured in a BBC Wales investigation into the far right has been found guilty of professional misconduct by a teaching panel https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cg4n0vxl376o
Patrick Lawler appeared in the BBC Wales documentary 'Unmasked: Extreme Far Right', in which an undercover reporter infiltrated the neo nazi group Patriotic Alternative (PA) and met its members in south Wales and parts of England. PA was founded in 2019 by the white nationalist and holocaust denier Mark Collett
At an event organised by the far right party Lawler told the BBC Wales' undercover reporter that a race war was "absolutely inevitable" and that "all" foreigners had no right to be in the UK and that if any refused to leave "the only way to get rid of them will be to kill every single one of them. And we will have to have hearts of steel to do that."
The panel also heard allegations predating the BBC Wales' investigation, among them that Mr Lawler "authored or co-authored" a series of online newsletters saying Islam was "demonic" and "satanically inspired" and that sex between men was an "unnatural, unhealthy, disgusting perversion". The panel further heard he had told schoolchildren that Rosa Parks "did not exist" and that the initials for the civil rights organisation Black Lives Matter stood for "Burn, Loot and Murder"
Lawler appears to still be involved with Patriotic Alternative and was recently pictured on its Telegram channel attending the organisation's 'Christmas dinner' (see pics).
The programme can still be seen here https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m00279gm/bbc-wales-investigates-unmasked-extreme-far-right and also featured former BNP Wales organiser Roger Phillips and Patriotic Alternative organiser in Wales Joe Marsh. In the programme Phillips was recorded telling the reporter that he intended buying a pump action shotgun to "defend himself against immigrants" (1) while Marsh has been jailed for stabbing people at a football match and for throwing a woman down a flight of stairs. (2).
In this post earlier this year https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1AXD1Rv7mK/ we revealed that both Phillips and Marsh have been campaigning in support of Reform across Wales this year - Marsh was even in Caerphilly unveiling a banner in support of Reform on the day Nigel Farage was in Caerphilly to launch the party's by-election campaign in the Welsh town. (see pics).
In a post on Tuesday we wrote that far right hate group Voice of Wales - who've also carried out banner stunts in support of Reform - are still urging people to vote for Nigel Farage's party in the Senedd elections next year in VoW posts on social media https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17vo6wbSZa/
