Yeah but if he gets the full season and we continue as we are (we're showing no signs of improvement) then next year we could be in the championship!!!

And lets face facts, if we did go down then Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Cisse, Ba etc wouldn't stick around like Nolan, Barton & Carroll did.

 

We are missing Barton, Nolan and Carroll those three showed passion, something else we are missing.

 

You are right, so I guess this boils down to whether or not we will be relegated. I can't see 17 teams in the shower of **** league this year finishing above us, we have too much individual quality.

 

The fact is it doesn't matter what the fans think because they all take the **** year on year! Ashley knows that so if I'm honest just stop dreaming of winning anything it's never ever going to happen as our club simply isnt anywhere near rich enough. We are less rich than QPR and look where they are. We are outspent by every club in this division and eventaully it will get worse and worse as long as that trend continues.

It's true if we get a player cheap that turns out to be good enough for a club that wins things they would be off and its always hard to replace them - The greatest thing Mike Ashley has acheived is getting the fans to accept mediocrity and pay the money he wants. I know I've accepted it anyway. There was a time I thought we were a big club (HA) we are small club as a clubs size in the modern game is down to how rich it is. If you have a history of winning top honours that helps also.

 

For the record I don't think we'll go down for the reason you've stated above, but if we lose at Stoke in midweek and things really will be looking grim.

He could stick on 5% ever year like all other clubs but he isn't. Supporting a club is a long term thing and I see him rewarding those who put their money where there mouths are.
So in summary I don't blame Ashley as I expect us to strengthen in the summer.

 

Lose to Stoke I think mate - clearly we will lose that game amd if I'm honest Wigan at home a draw looks a good result.

It happens to me every time the other team score - so bad I've kicked a hole through my cupbord door on one occasion.

 

Spurs we were average and a draw would have been a fair result, liverpool and sunderland were okay nothing amazing snd suarez rang us ragged

 

I'm sticking with my prediction of 10th place.
