Did he play for the first team? Pretty cool if so. I have a friend who played for them as a youth but got released. Ended up playing for Enfield Town and now he plays for Harpenden!
Got on the bench a couple of times. Played in the academy and reserves, then had a loan to Aldershot and played in what would've been L2/Conference. Played for England schoolboys/U20s etc. He was a left-winger, and was a year senior to John Barnes. Cool story being, he used to play LM and Barnes was the sub. But he was a pillock, got injured over the park during a match with his brother, and screwed his knee up. Watford said he had been stupid and would therefore be released after completing his rehabilitation. But he's always liked Watford, and still does.
On balance I want Watford to win , there was a time when I found Holloway funny , but recently I am of the opinion he just prostitutes himself to the fawning Press , Just like Harry , but with a dafter accent ........
I think Holloway's underrated, and I don't really understand the hatred for him around here. Sure, he was angry after we beat him one time and made some unflattering remarks about us, but he's since said some very nice things about us, so he clearly holds no ill-feeling. If he didn't have a funny accent and a supply of one-liners at the ready at all times, he'd be taken more seriously I think.
Interesting to note that two of the top three teams in the Championship this season, Hull and Watford, have played a 3-5-2. Who says 4-2-3-1 is the only way?
Holloway was raging at St Mary's after the game last season. Funny as ****. Went past him and he was ranting about too much time being added on at the end lol.
You need at least 4 at the back in the Premier league, the Championship is all about who can score the most goals, the Premier league is slightly more conservative I'd say.
