Lampard has done a really good job since he went to Coventry ain't he ? Surprised me a bit TBH. It's tough to judge because of our decline being so steep. Plus , you would think we could bank on the home from to turn around the tie is we are a goal or so behind however, even that has been off lately 3 with home defeats on the spin and 0 goals scored. They also battered us at their ground in the main season. That forward just destroyed 09 all game and ragged him about, is he still fit ? I would be tempted to go Ballard and Mepo me, we seem to be weak in the box and Ballard helps with that. Might be a risk, with him just getting back from injury.
Yep, the Japanese lad rudoni and wright is some attack, their defence and keeper are suspect though, think a lot relies on how fit mundle is the difference in results with and without him is mad, someone had it on here before but I can’t find it, pace out wide is vital to RLB’s system, think the drop off in performance is more down to no mundle than no dodds personally
Mundle is a massive loss. I don't think he will come in and start unfortunately. But should be able to get him 20 / 30 and maybe start home legg? We need him mind. I really really don't want to play Watson but it might have to happen, just to let ELF inside.
I’d be wary of starting him after two hammys like, wouldn’t be against Watson starting, natural width and he’s looked atleast half interested lately, elf in the middle is arguably as important as mundle outwide, need him to show us he’s a £20m man again
Results based job and hes got that sorted, but everything else would suggest they've gotten worse under his management with all the underlying numbers.
Results is what matters though ain't it. Not sure many would have got them in the play offs when he was appointed. Canny far away wernt they?
Exactly, like i say though you wouldn't have thought they would be. I do think their squad is comfortably top 6 standard and was pretty confused why it suddenly stopped working under Robins as hes someone i rated pretty highly going into the season - Lampard for me has them performing where they should be, not over, not under.
I don’t get the opinion that Sky don’t favour us mind. They were banging on about how wonderful we were and how full of goals and attacking threat long after the dip started. We’ve always had a reasonably good profile with Sky, I guess folk see what they wanna see on that.
My thoughts exactly, the referee on Saturday was a coward and the QPR players absolutely took the piss. The Coventry keeper was eventually booked after wasting time for much of the second half against Boro. They also had players going down with mystery injuries just as QPR did ... ... if we lose I can accept it if we have a level playing field.
4th in the form table since he took over behind Leeds, Burnley and Sheff Utd. Picked up 9 points more than us in that time
Also managed to lose to Luton and Plymouth in the last few games, both of whom were relegated. They didn't manage an attempt on target against Luton and their keeper was MOTM against Boro. They've loads of injury worries*, in various areas of the pitch, with some like Torp out for the season. They've won two of their last five including West Brom who are useless away from home and sacked Mowbray a few days later. After Luton they looked like they were going to blow the playoffs and were level on points with Millwall. They've done well but their nerves were showing at the end. Yes they've had better recent form but they had to win games while we didn't ... ... they're in for two very tough games. *https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/s...-injuries-vanewijk-thomas-masonclark-31220065
Anyone that CHOOSES not to go who regularly does can do one for me its ****in coventry not barceona, haway!
Could we not have Wilson up top and mayneda out wide ? Think that would terrify them. I know it leaves a sub option short but we really need to get our front 3 going again and Wilson is the type of player to get his form back for a big game.
