... because you've caught Quentin's obsessive fascination early hours photoshopping???

... only plausible explanation I can think of  ... Messi probably thinks Liverpool is one of the more non-descript suburbs of Manchester <whistle>

Harry Maguire: Leicester City sign Hull City defender in £17m deal

Maguire scored three goals for Hull City last season
Leicester City have signed Hull City defender Harry Maguire in a £17m deal.

The 24-year-old has agreed a five-year deal and will link up with his new team-mates in early July before their pre-season training camp in Austria.
Maguire told the Foxes' website: "There were a number of clubs interested, but when I met the manager here, he pretty much swayed it into the direction of this club.

"Leicester are on the up and it looks very promising for the future."

BBC Radio Humberside understands the deal comprises an initial £12m fee with add-ons.

Maguire's former club Sheffield United will also profit as they agreed a sell-on clause with Hull in 2014 - thought to be 10% of any fee over the £3m they received for the defender from the Tigers.

    Analysis
    BBC Radio Leicester's Ian Stringer:
The Foxes are in urgent need of reinforcements in the heart of their defence. Captain Wes Morgan and Robert Huth have been brilliant, clearly playing through pain at times, but they need support.

Maguire ticks plenty of boxes. He has Premier League experience, plays plenty of games and does not seem to suffer injury too regularly.
It's a big summer for new boss Craig Shakespeare and this seems a very sensible start.

Should help sure up your defence, you were leaking goals last season. Hope that problem isn't arrested until after the opening day fixture :)

We conceded 4 a week until we signed Ndidi.

He's going to be PFA young POTY next season without a doubt. He's going to be brilliant after he's had a full rest with a good pre season.

Huth and Morgan have both struggled with injuries so this signing should help to relieve some pressure on them too.

Yeah hey couldn't handle the extended season.

We ****ed up last summer, we should have signed a centre half or two.

Not sure signing a defender from a relegated team is Leicester's solution tbh.

    Probably a wise idea tbh.

No point signing decent players on high wages to then shoot yourself in the foot and have to sell the following year. It seems the owners are very wise in that sense.

  14. Indeed.

I think we're going to see Leicester making hay while the sun shines by shifting out their best players now, rather than be held to ransom as and relegation beckons.

    Surely they both need replacing?

Without Kante they looked really bad, far too slow and clumsy as a pairing. Kante just covered their ****ness.

  16. That's exactly what Sanchez did for most of the Arsenal team tbh.

Yeah Kante is a big miss, but they picked up towards the end of last season. Can't see them bombing the first half of the season like they did last season.

Mahrez has already asked for the door, unfortunately and rather embarrassingly he recently back tracked and said he wouldn't mind staying. The daft twat thought everyone would want him <doh>

Good player mind. I'd have him on our bench.

I'm yet to be convinced. I know 'Shakey' went back to basics and got them ticking, but they need to strengthen massively. Starting with 2 new CB's imo.

Then you have the issue of 2 new CB's forming a partnership. It won't be easy for them, bless em.

I think Mahrez will replace City bound Sanchez. Mahrez isn't anywhere near Sanchez's level, that has to be a concern.

Arsenal need to sign Lacazette imo, then they'll have a good chance of top 4.
