Very disappointing to see Coutinho miss an absolute sitter from 6 yards out. Especially after his occasional hollywood goal in ten games.

Collina once said he looked to see if the guy's fist is clenched when he does it as he saw that as an indication it was deliberate. I think he's lucky. Will be interesting to see if anything happens, especially with United v City on the horizon.

If the ref saw it and it's in the match report then he's got away with it.

 

Judging by the film there it looks like the spammer is nodding to head the ball at the same time as the elbow hence the recoil. For me not enough for a retrospective red.
