    A few years ago we organised a charity do that he compered. I must admit I’d never heard of him as I don’t really do rugby. One guy in the audience pledged a few quid if Robertson would reenact his commentary from Jonny Wilkinson’s drop goal. He got a standing ovation. Even I thought it was quite spine tingling.

    I love a good rugby auto biography. I read Paul O’Connells a few years ago, and this year I received Brian O’Driscolls which I’ll start today.
