Yeah I'm not a big Public Enemy fan tbh. Love Pac and Biggy but for pure 1 off tunes and best albums they just fall short. Best overall artists yeah 100%
Yeah Biggie cleans up as an MC, but his albums weren't flawless which Illmatic and 36 Chambers were. Having said that this is a list of individual songs and there's barely a top 5 hip hop ever made that doesn't include Juicy. I think it's just been overplayed and lost it's authenticity, it's almost a pop tune nowadays.
Mate the Nas one is ****ing excellent- it's about his upbringing and how Illmatic was made and how it changed the game. It's a must see. Honest.
They had some lethal one off tunes...I was listening to Niggaz Bleed by Biggie yesterday...that was a great album too(life after Death)and one of my Pac fave tunes is 'Gangster Party'
I tell you someone who's underrated, not so much underrated but got caught up in mainstream stuff, it felt like and that usually sways me away from the artists music...and that's Fiddy...'get rich or die trying' had some great tunes in it...won't get anywhere near the list but deserves a shout out. Snoop went the same way but I think a lot worse...that dawg lost his bite
NWA Straight Outa Compton...I bet we would have stuck that in had it not gone all mainstream due to the movie
Wtf can't find it on Netflix mobile... odd. It's called The Time is Illmatic 100% watched it on Netflix a while back. Watch the trailer
Fifty' first album with Interscope had Dre written all over it and that's why it was so good. Patiently Waitin was a brilliant track. His G-Unit stuff is awful though.
