Its not the sole reason but it is a big reason. Where would they be if they had european football? Who knows? The league is quite close so with 20 extra games, more injuries etc... they could easily be 6th or lower. If United dont have it next year and we win the league. I wonder what will be said. In fact I dont wonder, I and everyone else knows exactly what will be said....
Yes, congratulations and you deserved it! We at L FC arent sore losers and are always quick to congratulate the winner
That you had a net spend of £200m and increased your wage bill whereas Liverpool did it (#nojinx) while reducing their wage bill and having a net spend of just £20m (and most of those being players for the future who didn't feature much this season)?
If we hired a guy to buy the worst playings in the world for 9billion times their actual value..... we would be able to reduce our wage bill too.... Were just not run that badly. #parttimer
Of course not. A badly run club would do something silly like get rid of their manager, CEO and backroom staff all in a single transfer window then buy players for more than their release clause. Oh wait...
Stop replacing the actual argument with weak substitutes you straw man thug you Every year a CL competing team wins the PL, you are talking bollocks. By your own failed logic United are now favourites for the PL next year based primarily on not being in Europe. It seems all the stuff that makes a football club work is second to those extra few games.
Few games? 20 games? Thats half a season more. Its ****ing loads. My point stands. dont worry though, we'll swap opinions next season
Exaclty. Man Utd. Part Time FC XI Lindegaard (3) Rafael (28) - Ferdinand (18) - Vidic (29) - Buttner (9) Young (16) - Kagawa (19) - Giggs (15) - Nani (7) Rooney (35) - RVP (22)
Joke's on you because I haven't the foggiest who Jeremy Kyle is. Seriously though. There are advantages to being in Europe and out of Europe. We've had our last three transfer targets poached by other clubs in Europe. No doubt we would be better if we had them. No doubt other targets would have come to us. More money- more players to spread around the field. I'm sure Gerrard has spent more time on the field this season than the average Chelsea player- so extra time in Europe is a red herring. Fewer games can frequently be an advantage... fewer injuries, etc. However, a good cup run can help motivation and spirits in league games and keep the momentum going. Overall, yeah, not being in cups is probably a small advantage- but not as big as many make out.
UIR and all the apologists ignore one effect that UCL has (while Europa league as sh*t doesn't!): Ego-inflation, from rubbing shoulders with the giants, pride, confidence... the stuff of Champions. The stuff that makes you approach a game against the minions with a certain winning confidence.
The visitors doing all the moaning on the thread support clubs that have won in total a combined total of 2 more CL titles than us in many more attemps, so why are they whinging.
