Never mind drinking Joe get the scores on the dooors....

Bit hard to swallow today wasn't it lyundhurst. I know they were better by a mile but I was hoping we were better than that. I think somewhere in the runner up spots might be about as good as it gets.

To be honest sensible I had a bad feeling about today before we started. It was probably unrealistic to think we would win 5 on the bounce. The important thing is how we react react on Tuesday/Saturday. Are we about to have another poor run or was is just a blip. We don't have much to fear looking down (7 points clear of 11th) so it is really a question or how may 3 points we can get out of the next 13 games. Win half of them then a play off position is for sure and a couple more would see us in 3rd,

My son said something today which he isn't famed for because it was a bit sensible. He said that today's result means we have got 12 points from the last 15 so it is hardly relegation form is it. Realistically it is quite factually correct. One loss does not a failure make. Today we got a lesson on how to win a match. Bury were favourites or at least near favourites at the start of the season to fill an automatic spot. The bookies were not far wrong in my book. There is no reason or need to panic about this one result. There are plenty of hard games to come and this won't be the last one we lose.

correct and 12 points from 15 will almost certainly win JS the manager of the month award-although playing Mellor as CF might count against him!

For once I dont think the MOTM would make any difference for him. Whilst I am not a huge JS fan (though I don't have any rational reason for this statement!) I think on balance he has done a pretty good job in taking over a team that was pretty much on the brink of destruction and building a decent playing squad that has every chance of going up this season. Credit where credit is due and whilst it is easy to say manager a b or c would do a better job, JS is in currently in charge and (for all his supposed faults) has done a decent job.

I've said my piece on him previously and my only reservation is him having a plan B to fall back on sometimes. Like today in some ways although I'm not sure a plan X, Y or Z would have changed anything. I don't care if he is dour or has a problem talking to the media. Results results results everytime. He has assembled a squad of players that at the least can compete favourably and yes that all came from humble beginnings given what he took over. I doubt he is looking over his shoulder.

Evening all. Anyone seen that crazy woman who kept chucking her dress over her head and kicking her legs in the air last night? Bet she suffered for it today and the old ankles were aching. Drink for anyone who drops in bar person except lyndhurst who probably had enough last night as he was celebrating a night with the remote all to himself. Something I've never experienced myself the luck lad.

Yeh I know Joe, I've seen them down the Saga club on lunch days. All that creaking of plastic hips and the stomp of zimmer frame legs. It's enough to put you off your Yorkshires.
