Report as promised and appologise for being a little late but the pub seemed a good option after witnessing the game today so I stayed a bit longer. What can I tell you bedoboy. It was absolute fecking rubbish from start to finnish by both sides. We should and could have won that today at a canter but the football was dire. Not difficult to see why both clubs are at the wrong end of the league. Honest opinion is that Dagenham are down. If that is all the fight they have, which was very little, then can't see them getting off the bottom ever. We can still do it but will need to improve on today for sure. It was almost like Dagenham hynotised the Argyle players into playing their game and my neck has a crick in it now from looking upwards for the ball. A very forgettable 90 minutes and please don't get me started on the Ref.............
Sensible.........the quality of football wasn't much better at Charlton........same problem, ball in orbit mostof the match towards the sun........the differance was that these two teams are nearly two leagues above Plymouth.........and over 26000 watching it.........plus Charlton singing that they were better than Spurs......they are running away with this league.
I do find it hard to get so excited as some at Argyle are getting over not conceding a goal for over 300 minutes. 180 of those minutes Argyle havn't scored is more realistic in my view. OK I'm not knocking the fact that the defence are doing what they are paid for. It's more the inconsistency of the attack not scoring at least one goal each game during that period......9pts turns into 5pts.......a huge difference at the bottom of Div 2. To not score against Dag & Red who had an away record of ........W2 D2 L10.....the worst in the league is so disappointing, they have conceded 56 goals in the league this season........these are the games that Fletcher has got to turn around and scramble a result.......Larrieu receiving a yellow card from the touch line is amazing.....what happened there ?
Well Argyle can't boast any longer how long since a goal.........about one second at the moment. Seven points from five unbeaten games sounds OK.........but maybe it should be thirteen points. The worrying thing is that after an unbeaten run we are still only ONE POINT above the relegation line. What the hell happens if our so called good form deserts us. I would say the team is good enough for this level of football........but they need to turn domination into goals when they're on top.........is that where the management earn their money.........an unused sub could have helped to run the clock down.......why wasn't it done.
Two of the teams below us have games in hand, Dag & Red & Northampton. Dag & Red have to play Northampton at home.........and Northampton also have to play Crawley T away......so not a secure position at all for us. Unfortunate that Dag & Red and Northampton have to play each other........meaning that they will either get one point each or one of them will get all three points.
Must forget the other teams now and just concentrate on ourselves or else it will drive us all wandering about in the dark with Sensible. A win of 2 or three games is crucial now to climb into a little safety and ease everyones tensions and then take it from there. Now try to forget last night, we've all had our moan...no use crying over spilled milk as they say, it's done! Last thing we need again is more constant abuse from the fans to players and they will lose any confidence they have left. Right drinks on me all round and who's gonna score a hatrick against Barnet?......
Port Vale have done well against the bottom six........if they left the league......Macclesfield would be the only one to lose 3pts.
Well I was Hoping that a few of you had come in tonight just to cry in your beer..........but don't cry in the peanuts please.......there salty enough.........can it get any worse.........maybe....... if we can collect enough money we might be able to persuade Fletcher to step down.........but who else would do the job..........Deehan is around somewhere but I can't remember what he's supposed to be doing.
Mind if I join you Plym? I think it's far to late now for a change of manager although I agree he just isn't up to the job, why would he be when he has no experience whatsoever?
Evening Greens, I come in peace Despite the win today, bit of mixed emotions in that Tomlin came off injured - gutted tbh, honestly believe this could affect us in the next few weeks, so a very costly 3 points. What did you reckon on him in the first half?
No offence brb but we don't really feel like discussing one of your players right now as we have other things on our mind. Maybe tomorrow we will talk to you
