Aren't we allowed to play all our subs.........especially when we're chasing the game.........must be so frustrating sitting on your hands on Plymouth's bench...........what's the thinking behind it..........or is that the problem..........thinking.
Worrying that Northampton are improving..........second team we have played twice now........both have whitewashed us.........something has got to change and not just on the pitch.
And somebody called me the "moaning" supporter of the year................ There is a very big cry beginning now for Fletcher to be replaced. Chances of that are????? I was willing to give him a go and did think seriously that we would manage to pull ourselves out of the mire but have to say as every week goes by it is definately looking less and less likely. Would a change of Manager change anything now? Not sure it will but other Clubs have gone down that route and it looks like O'Driscoll will be off to Rovers anytime soon. Brent needs some sound advice rather than listening to the word in and around Home Park. Is he astute enough to get any? These are all question marks that could do with a bit of answering. I wonder just how cosy his meeting with the supporters will be on the 14th of January. We have to face the stark fact that unless something changes very quickly we are screwed and even my greentints will give up the ghost.
On current form and team selection we are going down,to use the most cliche'd of all cliche's THE TABLE DOES NOT LIE.Sensible your point that Brent has been advised we have a good team capable of maintaining league status almost certainly emenates from in and around Home Park is on the money. The footballing REALITY is that unless we get a couple of wins in the next 3-4 games we could be seriously adrift at the bottom of league two.We cannot rely on a couple of players to do the business for us e.g Purse and Chadwick, good as they are ,we DO NOT play as a cohesive unit.Never thought I would get into the name game but these are desperate times-there is a certain Gary Johnson desperate to get back into football management. Now is the time to sideline Fletch get him back playing and bring in big Gary. There I've said it now-only because I love my club.
Fletcher has allegedly told Brent that his playing days are over .... me thinks he has shot himself in the foot as there is only one place he can go now !!
It does look like Fletch has thrown all his eggs into the management basket,my guess is that he is pretty match rusty now, although at 31 as a decent player it's premature to hang up his boots.I think it brings it home to us all that professional football is a ruthless busines, there is no doubt that Fletcher is a decent guy and a talented player who has a passion for the club and he is totally committed to the cause but to use yet another bloody cliche', football is a results business, heartless as it seems I regretfully believe Fletch should stand aside and an established manager is brought in.But hey it's not my club-I only support Argyle (through thick and thin)
Peter Ridsdale was at the match today..............sitting with James Brent...........has he got a few names lined up............someone needs to.
Maybe he is recommending Phil Brown to take over the managerial duties as he is now looking for a new post, for some reason.
The fact that Ridders and Brent were at the match together perhaps suggests that some sort of decision making is on the cards, I hope so because something has to be done and soon!
Morning Mrs LaLa...........please could you turn the vacuum cleaner off whilst you posting please...........BoBo checking out his nicely cleaned cage I expect...........I assume it's not big enough to cram sensible into, he has been a naughty grump towards you lately hasn't he' I'm feeling a lot better, having finished the Codeine Linctus, the Amoxicillin capsules and still using the Clenil Modulite inhaler....till it finishes..........I wish I'd gone to the Doctor before Christmas instead of self medicating........which didn't do any good. I said before I just don't usually get ill..........so I'm not a good patient at times like that............didn't I read that Gat-Po had been unwell as well.........hope your fighting fit by now Gat-Po.
Morning Plym, glad you are feeling better - it took long enough, this is last year's illness aint it? Sensile is little more than a mild irritant and not something to be concerned with
OOOOh that's telling him.........his little lower lip is probably quivering with emotion at that........he'd get worse on pasoti.
Oh dear it seems Sensible ruffled a few feathers .... I'm glad to read that you are feeling loads better Plym, I felt really rough for 2 months after self medicating but a trip to the quacks a week before christmas has cleared my chest infection up and I can at least walk everywhere now without having to stop every 5 mins to catch my breath ..... should have gone to the docs loads earlier lol ..... just need things to improve for Argyle now to make me fully recover lol
I've been call a few things in my time but "a mild irritant"? I must be losing my touch. New Years resolution to self........must do better.
Had trouble getting in here tonight so decided to watch Man C v Liverpool on the box instead. Argyle must be improving and setting the standard because Man C played just like them. Another rumour in the mill regarding Bodan Djordic signing for us soon. Another old player coming back? Come on Tommy T you know you want to.
Service a bit slow in here tonight...........as well as customers...........even a mild irritant would be welcome............I feel I'm playing Desert Island Discs without the discs tonight......or even the Island.
No problem here either Plym....as for Tommy Sensible, probably could still knock in a few even if played as goal hanger...wonder what he thinks of all this?
He could score on a lesbian night out bedoboy. I think he is probably as upset as the rest of us as he clearly liked it here enough to stay in the City.
